I wish on a million stars in the sky. Hoping one would make it right
If you knew my hopes, I wouldnt need to breathe....
I let the tears flow down my cheeks. I mean, whats to be afraid of? Im not afraid of anything anymore. I mean once youve been in a hospital, been away from your mother for ages and lost a dad along with depression there isnt much to be afraid of. I hear every Word from doctor Jo. Shes helping me and my Mum. Its just grieving she says and my imaginations from worrying too hard. I nod. Im feeling alot better now, in ages. Doctor Jo leaves and I stand up. Mums eyes look dreadful from not sleeping in ages. I wrap my hands around her and my Aunt hugs us both. 'Audrey, you know what you told me when you moved in after the death, you said after a while im going to leave with my daughter. Were gonna help eachother?' Mum nods. 'I think now is perfect, a glimpse of your home and you will feel alot better. Now you both know I Love you very much and Im usually very lonely without my children and Im going to miss you guys soo much, but this is best for all of us'. Were all silent for a while then me and Mum squeese our fingers tight and nod. Were gonna make it.
~~~
Me and Mum start packing. There isnt much to pack, just old stuff. I find a cigreatte in my pocket and burn it off quickly. Its hard But I do it. Mum kisses me on the forhead as we wave at my aunt for the last time. Mum starts crying thinking how will we manage, but everything will be alright. I know it will. The roads go on forever until we arrive home, and thats when I start sobbing because outside the house is dads flowerpot. There orchids, dads faviourite flowers. I can remember him now. Him watering them and telling them music and love is all that matters. Without harmony and freedom the world cant run peacefully. I understand now. I really do.
