Avery's POV
I looked into Ryder's eyes as he still held my waist. "Avery."I responded. Through the corner of my eyes, I saw Miya with one of the other boys. She
suddenly jumped away from him. I turned and did the same."How dare you say that?! I am not a pig!"Miya shouted at the boy. He must have called her babe. She hates it when people call her that.
He held his hands up in surrender. "Come on Boo bear. We have places to be." She grabbed my hand and picked her bag up as we made our way into the studio. "I never got your name!"The boy that was with Miya shouted.
"And you never will!"She said back. I chuckled at her as we put on our spandex shorts, hers gold and mine white. "So, what's his name?" She asked me.
"Ryder. And yours?"I breathed out while giggling. She laughed and replied in a husky voice "Chase, how you doin? His words not mine"
She put on Bang Bang and we went through it about 4 times before stopping to get a drink. "I don't want to go to school tomorrow."Miya suddenly said out of no where.
"Why not?"I questioned her. She looked at me with total disbelief. Miya finally replied, "There is no dance team there, or girls basketball." That simple sentence stopped my thoughts. I can't not play basketball! That's like asking Niall Horan for food, IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN.
"What?!" I yelled. I shot out of my seat on the floor and pulled my sweatpants on. "Get ready to leave. We need to stop at the administrators office."
"What? Avery no. They aren't going to do anything, you can just try for the boys team. I mean, your good enough."I thought about what Miya said. She has a point. I am good enough, but will my parents approve? I know my mom will but my dad? He is super protective of me. "I don't kn-"
"Don't even say it. Your tryin for the boys team. Leave your dad to me."Miya said reading my thoughts. Sometimes, I think she is psychic. Seriously, she knows me better that I know me.
"Now, instead of going to the administrators office, lets go to B-dubs, I'm starving!"Miya said with a laugh. I joined in as we walked to Miya's car, which is a black, all terrain, jeep. "Let us be off to the land of the wild buffalo wings."I said with a giggle. We hopped into the car and drove to the restaurant.
"Dang, this place is crowed."I said once we arrived. "It's 6:00 on a Sunday night. Which means football. Do you understand?" Miya told me while speaking slowly. "Oh! I see." Miya chuckled as we got out of the car.
I am now wearing a pair of skinny jeans with a Mickey Mouse sweater and sparkly VANS. Miya is wearing skinnys with a shirt that says 'Mentally dating Cameron Dallas' and black converse.
"Dude, have I ever told you how much I love your shirt?" I told her with a smirk. "Yes, yes you have actually." She said back with a bigger smirk. "Gammit" I said under my breath.
"Let's race! 1 2 3 go!" We raced to the door and I reached it first just as the door swung open. I stopped in my tracks as I saw the three guys from earlier, Ryder, Chase, and the other other one.
"Well, hello there."Ryder said as Miya came up behind me. "Hi"I mumbled under my breath. "Well, fellas, I think we owe these ladies a date. Chase, at your service." Chase said to me. He held out his hand and I awkwardly shook it. "Yeah! We didn't even eat because somebody thought it was too packed! I'm Braden by the way." The other one said.
"Miya and Avery." Miya said for the both of us. Ryder suddenly turned toward his friends. "I don't want them coming with us. They are nerds." He said loud enough so we could here. But little did he know, that by saying those 3 little words at the end, he had unleashed a demon.
"What.did.you.just.say?"Miya said with a growl. You can call Miya a lot of names. But she hates being called Nerd, Babe, boo, or baby. "You've done it now."I told Ryder. He looked at me confused but that expression soon changed. Because he was tackled. By Miya.
Oh good God.
