Just Jealous

 
  Harley's POV

  I was walking around the school looking for Harith, it's really confusing for me to not see Harith waiting for me at the front gate of the school.  I looked everywhere except in the library, "I'm so dumb, if Harith isn't in the front gate of school, he's obviously in the library at this time." I thought, so I went to the library and looked for him there, and when I found him, I was about to say hi, but, I 
noticed that Nana was there, too.  I watched them from afar, thinking what could they be talking about, cause I really couldn't understand what they were saying.  But I noticed something different while they were talking, I noticed the way Harith looked at Nana, it's like he so interested in her and he likes her.  But I also came back to my senses that Harith does actually like Nana, so I just decided to leave them two alone, although it hurts me in the inside, I knew I would make Harith upset if I would interrupt them.

  "What's even so special in Nana? Why does Harith like her over me?" I said while staring blankly on the blue sky.  "Well maybe it's because Nana's a girl." Answered Lylia, who was sitting beside me, she was the only one who knew that I liked Harith, I'm really glad she supports me.  "You have a point though Lylia, Harith likes girls not boys, mostly boys like me— weak." I said.  "What are you talking about Harley?! You're not weak!" Exclaimed Lylia.  "Yes, I am, whenever Harith and I go on missions, I always get defeated by the enemy easily and Harith will always save me, that's why he always ends up very injured." I answered in a sad voice. "If only I can become stronger—"  "You're already strong Harley! It's just that your skills aren't suitable enough in the missions you go, that's all!" Said Lylia with an encouraging voice,"You're not weak Harley, I believe in you."  Her encouraging words made me feel so happy, "Thank you Lylia, you always support me in everything, I promise when you need me I'll be here for you too." I said as I hugged her.  "No problem Harley, I'm glad that I can help." She answered while hugging me back.

  Harith's POV

  "I haven't seen Harley yet since this morning, it's kinda odd for me because he knows that when I'm not at the front gate, I'm in the library." I thought, "Well, I'm sure he'll appear here in the classroom anytime, I'll just ask him where he was."  So I waited for a few minutes until Harley finally came inside the classroom, it was only a four more minutes before class starts, so I decided to ask him already, "Harley, where were you earlier?"  I asked with a smile.  He look at me for a few seconds and averted his gaze from my eyes, "I was just at the rooftop, why?" He answered.  "Well, it was just a little bit odd for me that you don't look for me when we don't meet at the front gate every morning." I replied.  "Oh, sorry for worrying you then." He said while smiling, but I noticed that he really doesn't look happy, it's like he just forced to smile to make me think he's okay.  "Are you alright Harley? You seem to be sad." I asked him while taking a step closer to him.  Harley noticed I was getting closer to him and he took a few steps backward, trying to keep a distance from us two.  "I-im fine Harith." He said, then he went to his desk and sat down.  I looked at him with a sad face, I knew he was hiding something from me, but, I don't really wanna force him to tell me, it might stress him.  I went to my desk and sat down too,  "Is Harley okay Harith?" Asked Nana, who was sitting next to me.  "I don't think so, but I'll try to ask him again later maybe."  I replied, then I noticed that Harley was staring at us and when he saw me looking at him, he looked away.  "Why was he looking at me and Nana? It's like he's sad and angry at the same time." I thought.

  No one's POV

  "What could be bothering Harley?" Thought Harith, while fixing some stuff in his locker.  After fixing his things, Harith walked down the hallway and heard someone shouting, and decided to check where the shouts came from, and he was shocked to see that Harley was shouting at Nana, and Nana just stood there, with her ears and tail down.  Harith got frustrated when he saw how Harley was talking to Nana and immediately rushed to him and pushed him away, "What the heck Harley?! What are you doing?!" Exclaimed Harith while glaring at the mage genius.  Harley just looked at Harith and there was silence in the whole area.  Harley looked to the ground and soon walked away, leaving Harith and Nana alone.  "Are you okay Nana?! What did he do to you?" Asked Harith in a worried voice, but Nana just smiled at him and said, "I'm completely fine, I just accidentally lost a documentary book I borrowed from Harley, and it turns out he borrowed it from his dad that's why he got mad at me."  Harith got surprised when Nana explained the situation, "I think you should apologize to Harley, Harith." She said. I nodded and I left Nana and looked for Harley.

  "I really wished that Nana and I could switch bodies for atleast just a day." Said Harley, while walking.  "Why did she even have to lose that book, my dad will kill me."  Harley went to a small, empty room, and stared blankly on the clock while tears slowly trickled from his eyes.  "Why can't I atleast have a good day for once, I always have a bad, hurtful day everyday." He thought.  Suddenly, Harith went inside the room and dashed towards Harley.  "What is it Harith?" He asked.  Harith pulled Harley closer to him and hugged him tightly, "I'm sorry for what I did earlier, will you please forgive me, Harley?" Asked Harith.  Harley didn't answer, but after a few seconds he just said, "Okay..."  Harith knew that Harley was still upset, so he just continued to hug his friend and didn't let him go.  "I know you really haven't forgiven me yet, it's okay, I understand." He said.  "I said I forgive you already, I mean it Harith." Said Harley.  "Really?" Asked Harith,"you really do?"  Harley smiled and said, "Yes I do, I'm fine already though."  "Thank you, Harley." Said Harith, then he stood up and gave Harley his hand to help him get up, too. 

  "Harith, I noticed that Harley's been ignoring you for a little while." Said Nana, while walking towards her fellow leonin.  "I don't really know why, when he saw us talking together, he started to ignore me." Replied Harith.  "How about you ask him?" Suggested Nana.  "I think so I should, I'll see you later then." Said Harith, and he left Nana.  "Where could Harley be now?" Asked Harith to himself.  Harith remembered that Harley always loves to stay in the rooftop of the school, so he thought that maybe he should check there first, and when he did, Harley was there.  "Harley!" He called out, but Harley didn't seem to hear it, so he walked closer to him. "Hey," said Harith, "can we talk?"  Harley turned and saw Harith, but he didn't really answer the leonin's question.  "Harley, was there something wrong that I did to you?" Asked Harith while his ears started to droop.  Harley noticed it, he didn't want Harith to be sad, "No, there's nothing wrong that you did Harith, I'm just a little preoccupied at the moment." He said.  "What's bothering you then?" Asked Harith.  "It's something kinda personal Harith." Answered Harley.  Harith expected that answer, since it was always Harley's excuse to not tell him what's wrong.  "I know it isn't that personal Harley, what is it?" He asked again.  Harley was out of words, he didn't know what to say, he can't tell Harith he likes him.  "I-it's uhmm, something between me and my family." Answered Harley, "I just got in a little argument with my dad since I lost the book."  Harith looked at Harley's face, he felt that Harley wasn't telling him the truth, but, he still had a point since Nana lost his dad's book.  "Alright then," said Harith, "let's go to class now then."  Harley nodded and they went back together. 

I know the title doesn't really match the plot that happened, but, I couldn't really think of any title, sorry😅
