Heartbroken

Harith's POV

  "I've always wanted to ask Harley why he sleeps in class everyday, exams are near but it's like he doesn't wanna pay attention in class and just wants to sleep the whole day.  He's always tired and he isn't close to me like before, it's like he's starting to make a distance from us two.  I really don't understand what's going on in his life, I ask him sometimes but he really doesn't answer.  I really hope that Harley is alright, I hope that he isn't hiding anything from me, I hope that—"   "Harith?! Are you even listening to what I'm saying?!" Exclaimed Ms. Eudora while glaring at me, and I finally came back to my senses and realized that class was still ongoing.  "Harith?!" She said again.  "Y-yes Ms. Eudora?" I replied nervously.  "Don't daydream in my class, it's time to learn, not to daydream about other non-educational things." Said Ms. Eudora, then she walked back to the front of the class.  I noticed that she still didn't wake Harley up, even though she already saw him sleeping, it felt unfair but, I guess she was just concerned about Harley's health. 

  Harley's POV

  "Harley!"  A familiar voice called me and I turned and saw Harith waving his hand and I immediately rushed to him.  "Need something?" I asked.  "Let's eat together in the canteen, you usually don't eat with me anymore."  Answered Harith.  I smiled at him and nodded, Harith's tail started to wag and he took me by the hand and led me to the canteen.  We talked for really long, it's like we talked more and ate less, everything was really perfect... until Nana came.  Harith was delighted to see Nana and they started to talk and ignored me.  I felt like my heart was torn apart seeing them, although I'm not sure if Nana likes Harith back, it still hurts me to see them together.  The way they talk to each other, treat each other, tease each other, or anything else they do together, it's like they're a sweet couple.  It's made me feel very jealous that I left the table and went to my favorite spot— the rooftop.  I called Lylia using my phone and she went to the rooftop, too.  I told her what happened and she offered me a hug.  "Although it's simple, it feels so painful inside, I don't even know why."  "Well, you like Harith obviously, and you see him giving more attention and interest on another person in front of you, that really hurts you know." Said Lylia.  "I guess you're right Lylia." I replied then I smiled. 

  No one's POV

  "Harley's missing again, why does he disappear out of nowhere every time?" Thought Harith, and he started looking for his friend again.  Harith was at the fork of the hallway when he accidentally bumped into someone, it was Lylia.  "Lylia! Thank goodness I saw you! Have you seen Harley?" He asked.  Lylia paused for a moment and said, "He wants to be alone Harith."  Harith got confused by the response of his friend, but he just said okay, and Lylia continued walking.  "Harley wants to be alone?" Asked Harith to himself. "That's odd, he usually wants to talk to someone."  Harith then walked to the opposite direction to where he was supposed to go. "If he wants to be alone, then I'll give him space." 

  "I wanted to give you a gift for helping me yesterday Nana, I hope like it." Said Harith, while handing Nana the gift.  "You really didn't have to give me a gift, Harith." Said Nana, then she took the gift from Harith and opened it.  "Chocolate!! My favorite!" Exclaimed Nana as she started to jump.  "For you." Said Harith while smiling.  "Aww, thanks Harith!" Replied Nana, then she hugged Harith and Harith started to blush.  Harley watched them from afar, and he teleported away using his hat, he was very devastated and didn't wanna talk  to anyone, not even to Lylia.  Seeing them from afar made him sad, but what shattered his heart the most is when he saw how Nana responded, whenever she responds that way to a person whenever they give something to her, it means she likes them, which means that he had no chance with Harith.  He liked Harith for a long time now, but Harith never liked him back, not even atleast once.  Harith had always liked Nana, and as a best friend, although it hurts, he helped Harith flirt with Nana before.  Everything was so painful that it felt like an arrow shot his heart multiple times.  Harley was so heartbroken to the point that he didn't go to school for a week, and when he returned, he was paler and he was very slim, it's like he didn't eat for two days straight.
Harith noticed the condition of his friend and wanted to help him, but Harley said he was just fine, like he always says, "I was in a mission the past few days and I wasn't able to went I was heading back because I ran out of food, that's all, nothing to worry about, plus, I already ate before I went here." He said with a smile.  Harith had a small doubt that Harley was lying to him again, but he wanted to believe his friend.  "Alright then, I believe in you."
