Chapter 10

Mira's POV

Its been months since we found out that I'm pregnant and it's been months since I've been taking this Teraphy.

The doctor said that I'm getting better that's why I'm trying really hard to be as healthy as I can.

Right now, I'm just walking around the hospital.

My tummy is getting bigger by the way.

But suddenly the doctors and nurses are running around.

"Are you wondering why they're running around?" An old doctor stand beside me.

"Uhh, yeah.."

"We found out that one of our patients have the same illness as you.."

"Like me?"

"Yeah, but we can't risk the life your baby. That's why were giving her the best attention as we can."  He said and looked down.

"What do you mean?"

"We have to choose between you and her."

"Thats not a problem. We can share.... I guess.." I said and looked at the staff running around.

"No you can't.. there's only one space... and you need it more than twenty hours a day."

"How about I lessen my time.. for her."

"It won't work like that.. if you stop then all of it will be useless." He said and that made me sad.

"How old is she?"

"I think she's younger than you About a year or two."

"I want to help her.." I said and looked down.

"Its really hard to choose between the three of you." He said and looked at my tummy.

"Three of us..."

"If we choose you, we will have sacrifice her. If we choose her, we will have to sacrifice both... you and your baby....." He said. I don't want to sacrifice her and my baby.

"I don't want to be selfish.... But I don't my baby to die either."

"Your so kind... well, theres a way... but it needs you." I looked at him.

"What are doing here? I thought you were on therapy." Cole went inside my room.

"The doctor's said that I was getting better."

"Really? Its good." He said and sat Infront of me.

"Yeah...." Why do I feel so bad about all of this?

"Hear that baby? Mommy said she's getting better." He said while looking at my stomach. I felt my tears started falling.

"What's wrong?" He looked worried.

"Nothing...  I just- I'm just happy." I formed at fake smile.

From this moment I thought everything is fake about me.

He smiled at me and walked to the table and I really don't know what he was doing. After a minute he stand beside me and pulled me up in bed...The only thing I knew was he was kneeling beside me.

"Mira.. we've only met for a short period of time, but those were the best times of life. I can't imagine my life without you and our little angel. You led me out of the dark and now I want to do the same for you until the end. Will you stay with me until forever, even if forever doesn't exist.. will you- will you marry me?" What he said made me cry more, I tried to stop the tears to answer him but they won't. I hope forever exist.

I just nodded in response.

"Yes?" He asked so I nodded again.

He tied something in my hands. Now, I realize. Its the ribbon from the fruits.

"I'm sorry, I only have this." He said.

"You don't have to be sorry. This is the most beautiful ring I saw in my entire life." He stand-up and hugged me.

We we're silent for a moment when he decided to break it.

"I'll marry you no matter what... I'll make sure of that. No matter what happens... I'll marry you." He whispered in my ear.

Tears keep falling from my eyes. Those words was supposed to make me feel better but Its really painful.
