Chapter 13

Cole's POV

I looked for Mayver at the hospital.

I found him on the man's bathroom.

"Mayver." I called him.

"What is it?" He said while Washing his hands.

"Where's grandma?" He stopped and looked at me.

"Why are you looking for grandma?" He asked.

"I just wanna talk to her.. please. Where is grandma?"

"Fine, she's at our ancestral house."

"Thanks." I said and ran outside the hospital.

I rode my horse to their house but of course, I didn't let the horse in their yard.

Grandma doesn't want horses.

"Grandma." I said when I saw her beside the windows.

"What is it, dear?" She turned around and asked me.

"Grandma, you see..."

"What?"

"You see.. I promised Mira something.."

"Something?"

"Before she died."

"And?" She asked.

"I want to fulfil it."

"Can you tell me what this 'something' is?"

"I promised Mira that.. I will marry her at all cost..." I said and looked down.

"If It was me... I would let you.. but Im not her parents. You better ask them not me."

"Ok grandma-"

"But I will be here beside you. I will support you." She said while smiling thats why I smiled.

We went to the hotel where Mira's parents are staying.

Mira's mother was there, she said that Mira's father went out to run some errands but he'll be back eventually.

She said we can come back later but Grandma insisted of staying.

We waited for few hours and when Mira's father came in... I got chills all over me.

He said he was sorry because he didn't knew we came.. but it was really nothing.

Grandma and Mira's parents are chatting for a while until Mira's father noticed me..

"Oh.. what made you come here?" He asked me and Grandma.

"Oh yes... I forgot about it... hahaha sorry." Grandma faced me.

"It's really nothing Grandma."

"Cole here.. want to tell you something about Mira." Grandma told Mira's parents.

"What is it dear? It seems so important." Mira's mom asked.

"I promised Mira that...I....I-......... I will marry her at all cost." I looked at Mira's parents after I said that that.

We were silent for a while until Mira's mom broke it.

"That time when I saw her cry and laugh in your arms... I knew that you were the one for her." She said and smiled at me.

"And we knew that this time will come." Mira's father said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"We were the only ones she could talk to since she was young and she kinda... can't keep a secret to us." She said and stand up.

She held my hand and led me to the last room. Mira's father and Grandma followed.

"She was so excited...." she said and opened the door.

I was so shocked when she opened the door.

I looked around and saw jewelleries ,dresses for kids and aduts, suits for boys, rings and...... a wedding gown.

"She was supposed to ask for the wedding a week before she was gone.... but the doctor said that they needed to put the tubes on her ASAP because the baby is in danger... she chose to save the girl and the baby."

I was looking at the gown when tears suddenly came, I hugged the gown and cried even more.

I remembered how happy she was when I asked her to marry me.

I looked and around and I found Grandma and Mira's parents crying.

"I want to marry her." I said and faced Mira's parents.

"We also want to but.. If we remove the tubes the baby will die."

"I can wait. We can get married when the baby is already allowed to go out of the hospital." I said.

"That means.. we wont go to our usual plan right? I mean.. we already planned to let Mira rest after the baby is born."

"Its just for days and then she can finally rest." I said.

"Now, I realized how selfish we were." Mira's father said.

"No, your not."

"Yes, we are.........  we were selfish to her and.... to you." Mira's mom said.

"We were scared that Mira might get hurt that's why we locked her up.... that's why she was so innocent about things." Mira's Father said.

Mira's Mother sighed. "Sorry for your parents."

"It's nothing, It really is. For now let's get ready."

"Thank you." Thay said and smiled.

"Mira, don't worry. I will fulfil my promise very soon."

I put the ring on her hand. A real one.

"I don't really say 'I love you' that much but I hope you felt like how you made me feel so loved more than how much you say you do."

I said and I kissed her hand.
