Chapter 12

Cole's POV

Its been already a week since the doctor told me about what Mira was planning.

I felt sad that she didn't even plan of telling me what she was going to do.

"Mira, your pretty at your sleep but you look better when you wake up. I know you want to see our baby... please wake up for our baby.......... for me." Tears come rolling down from my eyes.

I looked at Mira lying in her bed. Machines controls her body to function. But after the baby is born, all the machines will be taken out of her body.

"You said you'd only rest, that doesnt mean forever.... right?"

I wiped my tears when I saw mayver went in.

"Mira, I'll fo buy some foods." I said and walked towards the door.

But before I reached it Mayver stopped me.

"Mayver?"

"Cole.. please stop."

"What do you mean?"

"Stop all of this. Talking to her when she can't answer you, and thinking she'll be awake again. Cole.. wake up. She's dead." He said while looking at me.

"What do you mean stop? Mayver? As long as I see her heartbeat in that machine... I wont."

"Why? Why do waste your whole day taking care of a dead person?" He shouted.

"Because I'm a human. Everyday I set my hopes very high, that one day she'll be awake, that one day we'll be together again. But sometimes you set your hopes high for nothing. Because in the end of the day it will be so frustrating but I still keep doing it tho.... because I wish this all was the dream..... Because when I see her, I can't stop my self putting my hopes up." I said and I couldn't stop my tears.

He stopped and stared at me.

"I miss her smiles, I miss her laughs, I miss everything about her........ I just wanna be with her forever.... even if forever don't exist." More tears came running down.

"Then, why did you let her........ rest?" He said and looked down.

"Because its painful."

"Painful?"

"Seeing her endure the pain, makes me in pain too. Seeing her trying to smile. Seeing her lie many times. Seeing her getting tired......... at that moment, I just want her to rest." I said while  wiping my tears and ran somewhere.

When I calmed myself... I just realize that I'm at the hospital's rooftop. We made memories here together too, this is the place where she showed me my new family.

Thinking about all of it made my heart in pain and tears suddenly came rushing down.

I remembered when we fist met.

She was so sad that day....

I remembered when she decided to climb a mountain without anything.

Good thing she have me....

I remembered when I fell for her.

She was everything to me...

I was remembering all our memories together when someone called me.

"Hey, Mister!" I wiped my tears and looked at my back.

It was a girl.

"I'm sorry." She told me.

"For what?"

"For Mira.. she saved me." Thats when I realized that she was the girl that Mira saved.

"Your the girl?"

"Yeah, I'm Mika. When I found out she was pregnant I didn't Agree Immediately but she keeps on visiting me and pursuing me."

I looked at her when she told me about that.

I felt anger growing in my heart but I remembered that night...

"Do you think I should be angry at her?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because your parent's death will be useless. They both died in exchange of saving that girl. That means both of them are already part of that girl. Some part of them is in that girl."

"She told me that she didn't want to be selfish.. but the fact that she tried to fight for her life for her baby made her so selfless... she was so kind."

"Yes, she was."

"She's a great lost. She was everybody's dream hero.... I wish I could've done something for her." She said and looked down.

"I wish I have too."

Then something came into my mind.

"Nice meeting you Mika. I gotta go." I said and ran inside the hospital.
