"Go, Go, Go, Karasunooo!"
"Go, Go, Go, Karasunooo!"

Laughs spilt from the open bus windows; Tanaka and Noya had started a chant, orchestrating the first and second years hyping them up for their first game of the season.
Everyone participated in the chant, even Tsuki but his chanting was more of a low grumbling.
"Who's gonna win?"
"Karasuno!"
"And who are we?!"
"Karasuno!"
"Alright, settle down. We are here."

Pushing and shoving the boys tumbled out of the bus, each taking in their new surroundings in awe. The second was fairly small but spread out with long windows and a grand staircase leading up to the main school reception.
"Alright, let's go."
Coach Ukai ushered them along stopping every now and then so Hinata or the first years could make a comment about the school or the scenery. "Bloody idiots.." Tsuki grumbled, tugging Lily along with a heavy sigh; she couldn't help but laugh at him and his grumpy ways.
Oh, Tsuki.

"Goood Afternoon Karasuno High!" The Shinoga coach chirped happily, her hands clasped neatly behind her back flashing a closed eye smile to the team. After short introductions; the two coaches engaged in casually chitchat on the lengthy walk to the gym.
"And I thought our gym was out of the way," Noya grumbled as Tanaka dragged himself along lazily beside his shorter counterpart.

"And this is our gym! Boys, gather round and say hello." The pack of males that call themselves the 'grey wolves' all stand at attention bowing and saying their greetings in unison.
Quite a serious bunch.

Karasuno followed suit awkwardly bowing with sideways glances to each other in confusion as Noya and Tanaka hold back their snickers.
After a slow setup, filled with the boys shooting harsh glances and mumbling sly remarks the game began and the 'wolves' were not to dismissed so easily.
Each player attacked and blocked as if they'd been playing for years - The thick air made it difficult to even think.
Tanaka called over the boys; creating a makeshift plan in his head with a confident smile.
"Alright, boys, we gotta switch it up! They have clearly caught onto our usual tactics so Hinata, Kags, take a break; I want those first years up there!"

It was a risky move but Coach seemed all for it; I'm pretty sure he was relieved someone suggested it rather than him.
The first years scuttled onto the court, full of enthusiasm and adrenaline which looked pretty comical with the miserable aura radiating from Tsuki and Kageyama just metres behind.

This was definitely a risky move but it was needed to claim victory.
"Nice hit!"
"Keep it up, guys."

Hinata stayed on the court, with Tsuki, Tanaka and Noya as well as the first years. With their speed and how much the other team underestimated them, they were able to score two points for Karasuno. The last and final deciding point needed to be flawless without hesitation and making it too predictable.
"Tamaki to me!"
"O-okay!" As the first year leapt to send the ball to his bubbling teammate, his ankle rolled as the ball quickly tumbled down as if it were in slow motion.
"I got it!" Noya slid in, pushing the ball back up with ease as Yamaguchi and Hinata saved the day, against all odds scored the final point. The viewers in the stands cheered

Cheerful handshakes and congratulations were given to the proud Karasuno boys as the coaches conversed.
"You did exceptionally well today, I am ever so proud." Lily babied her frowning boyfriend who simply rolled his eyes, grabbing onto his bag sluggishly.
"I barely did anything."
"But you looked exceptional doing it." She smiled before rushing off to find Yachi to hear the coaches thoughts of the match. It was a fairly boring day, to say the least, they all boarded back on the bus and set off back to Karasuno.

"Alright, boys, gather round! I'm proud of what you achieved today, kicking another team as- behind and claiming another victory. Now, I wanna talk to my second and third years briefly so you first years can head home, you did well today."
Lily and Yachi escorted the younglings to the door as the buzzed around them with conversation.
"Did you see me jump Lily?"
"Of course Sora, you did brilliantly as always." Gently patting his head like a puppy desiring praise, a female figure came into view.
"Ah, Sora, Oh, hello! You must be the manager! Sora tells me so much about you, I think someone  has a little crush." The young male in question had scampered to his friends leaving the girls alone to talk.
"Haha, he's doing great and a quick learner."
"I'm glad he's settling in, has the second years come out yet?"
Lily frowned, feeling her irritation growing.
"No, still talking to coach I'm afraid, why?"
"I was hoping to catch Tsuki, we didn't have class together today so I wanted to ask him how he was doing on the assignment.."
"Ah, I see, Tsuki is a clever one." She gritted her teeth, baring a straining smile as Lena's face softened fiddling with her fingers with a smile. "He really is...but anyway, I gotta get Sora home, it was nice meeting you!"
"You too."

~~~~~~~
On their walk home Lily was silent. Sure it wasn't his fault Lena was into him but surely he would have told her he has a girlfriend, right?
Keeping her hands folding and her head down, she walked ahead of him leaving him to ponder on what had her in such a state of frustration. Lily was never subtle, so it was obvious something was up, now wasn't the time to ask though.
"Well, I'll see you two later!" Yamaguchi waved to the two, throwing a beaming smile before departing into an alleyway. The silence between them was suffocating, but he wasn't sure how to address it. 'What's wrong?' wasn't good enough. 'I know something is wrong' could easily be denied.
In his pondering silence, Lily took it as guilt. That he knew he'd done something wrong and didn't want to be confronted. Did he like her back? Why was she a secret? Is he just stupid?
With a muttered goodbye, the two separated each entering their houses with a deep sigh and head filled with thought.
