ELSA ( P.O.V)
○In zombieland the survivors are categories into two groups, the likely and the unlikely. When I first end up in the world of the living dead I was in the category unlikely meaning I wasn't expected to make it far. The only reason I made it longer than expected was because I was lucky to find myself with a group with alot of likely.○
You know the whole thing about first impressions are everything? Well in zombieland it doesn't matter how you appear as long as you don't have flesh in your teeth and a heartbeat. Your incredible popular to the dead and the living.
Most of the ride with Jack we made nothing more than slight small talk. We mainly were quiet trying to ignore the zombies that ran after the van desiring the taste of our eternal organs. Finally I new how cows feel. I now knew what its like being towards the bottom of the food chain.
I had slightly started to drifted off to sleep when the car came to a stop. We were at the beginning of a bridge that was covered in empty deserted cars. Jack looked at me, "You good enough to walk?" He asked softly.
I opened my side door, flinching at the pain in my side. Biting my lip I closed my eyes, "We have to keep moving."
It was the truth slowly I pulled myself out of the car Jack quickly grabbed everything from the back. As I shut the car door my leg gave out causing me to tumble towards the ground. I quickly grabbed the side mirror only to break it off and hit the pavement.
"You okay!" Jack asked as quiet as he could in cases there were any mons- Zombies around. I felt sick to my stomach my head hurt and my body felt cold not that it bothered me.
"Im fine," I said, pulling myself up shaking slightly. Jack came to my injured side and rapped my arm around his shoulder.
"Lean on me, and try and move fast, its getting dark, we need to find a places to stay," he tells me.
Slowly we started forward moving our way between the cars. We stopped every so often so I could catch my breath. Jack let me go and I leaned onto the car in front of me it was red and I gaged as I noticed the dead man inside who head was cracked glass sticking in his eye.
Looking away I watched as Jack climbed onto it and slowly helped me move across. I watched the ground as I stepped down trying to avoid glass. I was wearing only one flip flop it was breaking. Trying to bite back the pain of my side and the pinch as my toe was slit by glass I hadn't seen I watch the window of a sideways car.
A zombie was trapped inside groaning and pressing her faces against the door. Something about her made me fall to my knees. Jack held me trying to lift me back up but all I could do was stare. Maybe it was from blood loses that I felt so dizzy or maybe it was because, the zombie reminded me of Anna.
Same strawberry blonde braides. Was this how Anna was now? Trapped somewhere dead, and one of them. "Elsa we have to keep moving."
A tear fell down my cheek and I let out a cry, "How did this all happen, how could everything fall so easily and quick?"
Jack answered softly, "Its been like this for awhile, not everythings fell it might seem that way but no, you see right now the dead and the living are about equal, and also most of the living are hiding, just look at the windows."
He pointed to a small building not to far from the bridge I could make out some eyes looking through the blindes. Normal eyes not like the deads. "Why don't we go to them ask for help a place to stay?" I asked.
We began walking Jack laughed sadly, "Its the apocalyptic you can't trust anyone, infact the dead are more trustworthy than anyone around, im not saying there not a chances they won't help, im just saying theres no since risking are asses better on our own and safe."
