To judges, here is the rubric for judging! Please read at least the first 3 chapters, not including author's note, aesthetics, etc.
PLOT: 1 is very dull plot with no action. 10 is very exciting plot with lots of action.
WORD CHOICE: 1 is very boring, everyday words with dialogue written as only "said". 10 is very interesting words.
CHAPTER LENGTH: 1 is way too short or way too long chapters. 10 is just the right length of chapters.
CHARACTERS: 1 is very undeveloped characters. 10 is very developed characters.
PACE OF STORY: 1 is the story either has way too many details and is too slow paced or the story is way too fast paced, giving the reader little to no details. 10 is just the right pace for the story.
CONCEPT OF STORY: 1 is the concept makes no sense. 10 is the concept makes sense and is very original and interesting.
GRAMMAR ACCURACY: 1 is there are many grammar and spelling issues. 10 is very well edited with no grammar or spelling mistakes.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: This one is out of 20 and is therefore the most important. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Would you read it again? Did you like it?
