Hi. The name's Alex. I'm a girl. That's all I remember from my past. One day, I just woke up in the grass outside of the National Archives Building. No thoughts, no memories, nothing.
Let me tell you my story. Let's start at the beginning. xx
~~~~~~~~~~
I open my eyes, and the bright city lights shine in my face. I sit up, and realize I was laying in the grass.
"How did I-" I was cut off by some guy running at me. I looked up strangely as he got to me.
"With me, now" He said. He looked tired, and had somewhat scraggly hair and bright blue eyes.
"What?" I backed away a little, not knowing what he was talking about. You could hear police sirens down the street.
"Do you want to go to jail? If not, I'd recommend coming with me." After I didn't answer, he sighed and picked me up, throwing me over his shoulder. I was really small, so he did it with almost no effort.
"Put me down! Let go!" I yelled for help, struggling, but it was of zero use.
We eventually got to his van. He opened the back door, to reveal two other silhouettes of people.
He set me down in the back, and shut the door quickly, so I wouldn't run.
"Please just let me go, I won't say anything. You can have anything, please" I begged, backing into a corner.
"Can you not? Im trying to drive" the guy from who kidnapped me said, starting the car.
"Hush, Riley" Said the girl, moving closer to me. "It's okay, we aren't going to hurt you. There's just a bit of a problem back there, and this was safest for you."
"Kidnapping me was the safest thing you could do?"
"Yea, it was" The girl shrugged
"So you aren't planning on killing me?" I asked sheepishly, looking to the guy, Riley, up in front.
"I swear. We can probably drop you off at home soon." The girl smiled.
Home. A realization dawned on me in that moment.
"I don't remember my home...." I said. "I woke up laying in the grass. No memory before that."
Riley looked back at me in the mirror, but almost instantly looked back at the road. "Abby..."
"Shut up, Riley. Do you remember your name?" Abby asked.
"Alex" I smiled a little. I looked over to the other guy. He hadn't said a word the entire time.
"Well, I'm Abby, this is Ben, and your kidnappers name is Riley." She stuck out her hand and I shook it carefully. "Hello" Ben said without looking. He was staring at some scroll of paper in his hands.
"I didn't kidnap her! It was your idea, Abby." Riley yelled back.
"It was my idea, but you were the one who threw her over your shoulder and into your van." Abby grinned at her comment.
Riley turned a light shade of pink, pouting in the process.
~~~~~~~~~~
"We're going to have to sleep in here tonight" Riley yawned, climbing into the back with us.
Abby and Ben immediately move next to each other, kissing each other goodnight. Riley had to sleep in the back by me.
"Get a room" Riley rolled his eyes, staring up at the ceiling. "Goodnight then" He said, laying only a foot away.
It took awhile, but I eventually fell asleep, thinking of the three people I had just met. Especially the one right next to me.
