kibutsuji muzan held his son's small body as he writhed and sobbed in agony. whispering small shushes to miki, he pressed gentle kisses just in front of his ear. "shhh it's ok. it'll be over soon, little one."
the frail child's organs and cells screamed in protest as they merged with his father's newly turned demon blood - a sensation only comparable to being torn apart with a lava soaked blade from the inside.
miki's tiny frame continued to twitch for several minutes after the transformation was complete, his skinny legs spasming every so often. his once pink tinted cheeks were devoid of all colour and his round eyes were glossed over from the sheer agony before momentarily shutting.
muzan's slender hand trailed to cup his boy's head, bringing it into the crook of his neck as he toyed with soft, moonbeam tinted curls. his hair had previously been black like his father's, but becoming a demon seemed to have rendered his body absent of most of its previous pigmentation.
beautiful. perhaps even angelic under diferent circumstances.
and as his now grey eyes cracked open to peek into his father's own ruby splendour, they developed a bond so strong it would see kingdoms crumble.
