Miki is by no means disobedient, and really, he supposes it could just be considered a detour. Rather than going straight to Mount Natagumo and finding Rui and his spider clan, Miki decides a little game of 'follow the leader' would be fun. (Stupid, stupid child! Did you really think you'd still hold any semblance of importance to-).

There's a green haired demon, one he doesn't know, which should be impossible, considering at some point or another he's come across all of his father's creations. Now, it could just be that this new demon was just unmemorable next to the vast array of Muzan's powerful beasts, but not even the scent is familiar to him. Leaving one explanation. This 'demon' is naught but a cheap imitation of his father's own masterpieces. Disgusting.

But what really comes as a surprise, is the green haired insignificant's companions. The drab boy from the town and a young, female demon (no, Miki doesn't recognise her face, but he knows the scent from a year or two ago when his father came home from a short trip to the countryside). 'Why is this girl allowing her hand to be held by a human..? I suppose they do look somewhat alike, from what I can see past her muzzle... family perhaps? But that doesn't excuse why she isn't trying to eat him. Is she just concerned that there are too many people nearby? I wonder if she's the type to only eat in private. I suppose I could lure the boy away to a more private and secluded area for her, if she'd like.'

Miki's red eyes watch the odd pair approach the insignificant, and- why are they speaking normally? Why is the human not trembling in fear? Is he really so stupid as to not know he's in the presence of two (three, including himself, but he's stood far enough away to not be detected) demons? What an odd little fellow.

After exchanging pleasantries, Miki presumes - though from the looks of things there seemed to be more arguing than friendly chatter - the newly formed trio make a move. 'Ah' he thinks, 'so the girl already has assistance in luring away her prey. It's to be expected from one so high on the food chain. Silly me for ever thinking otherwise.' He lets a little giggle escape, finding his own obliviousness somewhat amusing.

But (and much to Miki's sheer astonishment) the small group of three don't stop until they reach a dead end. 'But... no but... there's that scent again... why is she here? Why is she still here? She needs to go she needs to go she needs to go' the poor demon child doesn't know what to do with himself.

It's almost intriguing to watch insignificant walk through a wall, and under any other circumstance - Miki most likely would have approached him to try to find out more, but these aren't different circumstances, and Miki's pretty little head is clouded by betrayal. In fact, his mind's so preoccupied he almost doesn't see the two oddities follow insignificant through the wall. 'Perhaps an imitation of a blood demon art? My head hurts too much for this.'

Insignificant and the oddities have vanished through the wall for the moment, and the demon child knows that if he wants to see anymore, he'll have to follow suit. So he leaves it a moment before following - perhaps a little relieved to deduce that the three must have gone into the house. 'Ignore the scent. It's fine, you're fine. It's just lingering in your head from earlier. It's-'

But he sees the three through the window talking to her and he doesn't know what to do.

It is known that Miki is no killer. But seeing Tamayo speaking with that damned boy from the town sets something off inside of Miki.

Flashes of blood.

On the walls. On the floor. On their clothes. In his hair. On his hands. (Their blood).

"Did she really replace me with that insignificant..? But- but I- no... she can't... she left me... Tamayo... mama..." Miki's breathing picks up and he isn't hyperventilating demons don't hyperventilate especially not you, you stupid boy how could you think you'd still hold any importance to her whatsoever? She left you, remember? She doesn't want you anymore.
