Winter's song of the moon

Don't get me wrong - I love Winter. I love the cold, I love the cozy fires, I love the snowmen.

I love lots of things - but I also love sunlight. It's almost as if the sunlight feeds us like we're plants. I could be a plant - a nice fern in an office, or maybe an orchid in an exotic massage parlour...

I'm getting off topic, aren't I?

The frigid rustle of air, tossing the leaves o'er the frozen ground

The cold blanket of winter yet to be pulled to the chin of the earth

The furred beasts with their wisdom of the ages know best

To feast! Feast upon all the world has to offer before the snow comes

Then to a cozy home, ready for nature to tuck them in

For the Moon's time is coming, and the Moon will sing

With frost, and snow, and dimly lit nights
