~Atsushi POV~
It was 8 pm and we were preparing for the party. Apparently most of the mafia was supposed to come so I was kinda stressing out.Dazaj was sitting in a corner reading one of his suicide books.
I sigh. I knew he wouldn't help with the preparations. I was about to go back to my tasks when I see Dazai telling me to come closer.

"What's up Dazai?" I asked "Did you finally decide to help?"

"Nothing of sorts." He said "I was just wondering if..."

"No Dazai. You can't put poison in your drink and you can't jump of the rooftop."I cut him off.

He looked at me with a serious face.
"For once my question isn't about suicide."

I looked at him surprised.
"Alright What is it?"

He shows me his phone.
"So should I ask Chuuya to come with me to the party?"

"I don't know and frankly I don't really care." I start to walk away to finish my work.

"I might be able to convince him to bring Akutagawa..."he said teasingly.

I blush but I ignore him,and start to work again.

~timeskip 5 minutes before the party~

I look at myself in the mirror one last time.Yeah I look fine.

I was about to leave when I heard my phone ring.I look at who is calling.

*Unknown number*

I wonder who it might be.
I answer the call.

"Hello?"
"Hey,uhhhhh it's me,Akutagawa."

I hear him say awkwardly on the other side of the phone.

"Oh,hey,why are you calling?"
"I was just thinking that I could pick you up,I'm on my way to the party and I pass near your house..."

"Sure it would be nice I wouldn't have to walk."

I said happy that I don't have to walk.
"Okay,I'll be there in five."
"Thanks!"

I say,not sure if he heard me and start heading towards my door.

I wait outside a while till I hear a car pull over.
"Hey"
"Hi,thanks for picking me up"
"It's no big deal."

We ride for like ten minutes,we don't really talk but it wasn't awkward either.
We arrive and immediately get greeted by Dazai and Chuuya at the front door of the building waiting for us.

I blushed slightly when I see Dazai look at me while smirking,silently telling me that he knows how happy I am that Akutagawa went to pick me up.

We go in the building and immediately see a drunk Ranpo loudly laughing at back of the room.

The couple hurry to go get drinks for us while we just stood in silence.They came back soon after just to leave us again because Chuuya wanted to leave since all the noises made his head hurt.
