"You've been hanging out with your coworker a lot lately," his uncle observed when Bright came in that night. Win had just dropped him off from set. They'd started going there together most mornings. It gave them time to talk, go over the script, and just get used to each other.

"I saw him the last time I went to that campus with you," he continued. "He's gorgeous."

"Jeez Unc. Could you stop being creepy?"

His uncle put a hand to his chest and looked offended. "I can take note of a beautiful young man without being a creep. You're not bad yourself."

Bright pretended to vomit and his uncle put him in a headlock, mussing his hair which was stiffened by a day's worth of hairspray.

"Thanks, uncle. I would've never been able to shampoo properly otherwise."

His uncle laughed and released him. "Anyway, what's he like. He seems so quiet."

"He's quiet and talkative all at once," Bright said. "Silence doesn't bother him. He's content to be in his own head a bit. But he likes to play around with the crew and really boosts the mood when the days start to feel long."

"Aww, he sounds sweet."

"He is, I guess. He's working hard too. This is his first ever series and he's amazingly intuitive."

"Careful," his uncle teased, wagging a finger at him. "You're starting to sound like you have a bit of a crush."

Bright rolled his eyes and punched his uncle lightly on the arm. "You're burning your noodles."

"Oh!"

Bright chuckled and put on his slippers on his way to his bedroom. He loved his uncle but the man was a bit nosy when it came to his personal life. Even his own mother wasn't so pushy about it. She understood that he liked his alone time between relationships while his uncle always seemed to worry he was lonely and pushed him to spend more time with anyone he hoped Bright might be attracted to. Why his uncle suddenly thought he was into men, Bright had no idea.

He shucked off his clothes, grabbed a towel and headed into the shower. He'd been sweating more than usually lately and took a shower whenever he could. He hoped his water bill wouldn't be too mad, but he couldn't stand sliding between the sheets with that sticky feeling sweat gave him.

Plus it was either wash himself more than usual or his sheets.

Bright stepped under the spray and left it on the cool setting, sighing as the cool water ran over his body. He almost moaned in pleasure, then remembered his uncle was in the kitchen.

He shampooed his hair and nearly trembled when his fingers ran over his own scalp. His nerve endings had been so sensitive lately that the slightest brush of fabric or skin against his own sent tingles throughout his body.

He hoped he wasn't developing some kind of condition late in life. So far the symptoms weren't so bad if it was just extra sensitivity.

He got out of the shower and decided not to put on clothes, instead getting into his sheets naked to reduce the amount of friction against his skin.

Bright had never realized until now in how many places the bed sheet touched him, now he couldn't stop thinking about it.

He grit his teeth and got on top of the sheets instead.

"What's wrong?" Win asked when Bright shuffled out to his car the next morning, the bags under his eyes a inch deep.
