Play the part, they say.
Play the part, and all will be well.
But if I play the part, will I be playing the character?
Or playing myself?
If I play the part, will the part I play be good?
Or if I play the part, would I have to play evil?
By playing the part, am I helping or hurting?
By playing the part, am I just contributing to an already dead-inside society?
Or am I helping it grow back?
I play the part, sometimes.
The part hurts, sometimes.
Sometimes, the part hurts less than life, so I play the part.
Often times, the part I play is easier than the life I was given.
The part I play hurts less, nothingness,
An empty room filled with nothing.
Not even air.
The part I play is suffocating,
But it's easier than life,
So I play on.
