Chapter 8

Marinette POV

After my nap and reassures we got on the bus and went back to the hotel. When we got to the hotel we had some free time before dinner. I went over to Madam Boustie before everyone could disberse to tell her I had an announcement for the whole class.

"Alright class Marinette has announcement to make to you all." They all looked at me either scowling, glaring and encouraging. I took a deep breath while closing my eyes. Then I let it out and looked at everyone.

"This morning I got a call from Jagged Stone (there murmurs of disbelief, aw and wonder) and he is giving our entire class free tickets." I didn't mention that me and my friends will have VIP tickets. Meaning we will be backstage and will get to hangout with Jagged Stone. But after I said we would be going to a free concert of a famous singer.

I went and bought material needed for the jacket I'm planning on giving to Jagged as a form of thanks and the materials for Alix dresses. After that I went back to the hotel and got to work in mine, Chloe and Kagami suite. I soon finished the jacket and started on the dress.

After working for hours making me miss dinner I went to bed.

Dick POV

I couldn't stop thinking about what I learned at pelican cove. I suddenly had a lot more respect for Marinette. But something bothered me. If Marinette is the one who wrote and won the contest then why was she been getting bullied? Why would she say those nice things about those people if they were horrible to her? I thought about today and that reminded me of what Jagged Stone is doing for Marinette and her class. I smirked then went to dinner.

I sat down in my usual spot not really paying attention to what's going on around me. But then I felt a hand on my shoulder making me jump. I looked and saw a concerned Bruce.

"Dick are you okay? You seem out of it." He asked while still staring at me with concern. I was debating on whether or not I should lie to him but I decided not to. Since he would be able to tell and that would only worry him more.

"Not really, you know the french class you are having me hangout with while they are here?(he nodded wanting me to continue) Well today me and Tim found out the winner Marinette Dupain Cheng has been getting severally bullied for three years. Mainly by one girl named Lila Rossi. And then she was having a nightmare when we found. She was taking a nap while at the beach. It took a while but her friends were able to calm her down.

The part I can't get is way she is still kind to them. I mean when she told Jagged Stone that she and her classmates were in Gotham he gave them all free tickets plus Marinette with seven friends would get VIP tickets. She didn't even try to get him to stop or anything." I looked around and saw everyone was stone face. Even Alfred who was in the middle of setting a plate of food done was frozen and pale. Damian and Jason were slowly turning red. Tim had the horrified look he had earlier but it was much smaller.

Saline was on her phone texting someone with an angry face muttering "No one hurts my kitten no one." And Bruce went rigid. Then he pulled out a piece of paper and cleared his throat. Everyone looked at him.

"This is Marinette essay. In it there are a lot about her classmates and little about her. Here is what she wrote for her and Lila Rossi.

Lila is an up and coming model and is the daughter of a diplomat from Italy. She is studying to become a diplomat like her mother and studying for her Business major once she goes to college.I am a hard working and kind student. I want to become a fashion designer one day.

She only put two sentences down while the rest she went into detail about." This shocked everyone besides me. I knew she was a modest girl and very shy. But now that I think about it I wonder if she has low self-esteem because of bullying. Then Jason asks the question I was dreading.
