Marinette POV
I looked at my phone and saw it was my birthday. Realizing that I needed to facetime my parents along with auntie and uncle Felix so we could to open my presents together I turned to Dick.
"Hey Dick how long do you think this dinner will be?" I asked trying to figure out a way to do both. He looked at his phone to see if the text said or not but sighed.
"I don't know is there a problem?" I shook my head.
"No it's just my birthday and my family wanted me to face time them so we could open the gifts they sent with me together." He looked shocked but broke out into a smile.
"Well then Happy birthday Marinette." I laughed and turned to look out the window.
Dick POV
I was shocked to hear it was her birthday. So I pulled out my phone and opened a group chat her friends made with me minus Marinette.
Bumblebee - Chloe
Snake song - Luka
Dragon breath - Kagami
Time bunny - Alix
Goat boy - Nathaniel
Pig boy - Marc
Colt - Max
RG - Dick
RG -Guys did you know it's Marinette's birthday today?
Bumblebee - I didn't oh I feel like a horrible friend
Dragon breath - we all can a agree to that bumblebee
Goat boy - But what can we do
Colt - We can go out and get her something while she is having dinner with the Wayne's and surprise her when she gets back
Pig boy - I like that idea and I believe everyone agrees. So while she is out we either make her something or go and buy something for her.
After that I put my phone away. And started a conversation with Marinette.
"So do you have something to wear at the dinner?" She looked at me with a sweet smile.
"Yeah my mama gave me her dress from when she was about my age. She gave it incase I needed something nice to wear but not as nice as the gala outfits."
"Wow that was really nice of her." Marinette smiled at that. We then slipped into a compostable silence which meant I was listening to Lila Rossi lies.
"Yeah I know all of the Wayne boys. There's Timothy Todd, Richard Drake and Jason Grayson. But they are so needy. Like this one time I was there Jason threw a temper tantrum because I wasn't wearing his favorite color which was pink. And another was when..." I was barely holding my laughter so I opened the family chat to see Jason reaction to this.
NW - Okay I may not be a fan of Lying Lila but I am barley containing my laughter at her most recent lie. Which is about us but mainly Jason.
RR - oh what was it
R - Something boring I bet
CW - I want to know I'm a curious kitty
BM - Please tell me it isn't about Marinette
RH - Better not be very embarrassing or else
AA - Master Jason you know there is a no killing, threatening, harming or blackmailing these french students
