        Their adults now, Kageyama and Hinata are having a practice match on their opposite teams. During the game, Kageyama tosses to Ushijima and as he's taking a step back, stumbles and lands on his back looking up at the net. Somehow, nobody noticed, and Atsumu sets for Hinata, the ginger jumps, and does his usual spike. Kageyama sees him really fly and almost cries thinking about the first time he met Hinata. After the game, Iwazumi iced Kageyama's back, and Hinata came towards his favorite setter. Kageyama put down the ice temporarily and walked over to Hinata, before the smaller boy could say anything Kageyama cut him off with a kiss, not a small short one either.

        "I saw you on the other side," tears spilled out of the setter's eyes knowing that's all Hinata yearned for when they were younger. Hinata's eyes widen before getting pulled into a second kiss that included Kageyama's hand cupping his face and Hinata's own settling on the other boy's forearms.

        "HEY. GET BACK HERE KAGEYAMA, YOUR BACK IS FUCKING HURT."

        The blueberry chuckled as they pulled apart, "I should go before Iwazumi-San beats my ass."

        "Don't worry Tobio, he's just cranky that I'm in Japan with you while Oikawa-San is in Argentina. See you tonight at home?" Hinata gave Iwazumi an apologetic smile, them luckily being out of earshot of the angry man.

        "Of course boke," Kageyama landed a quick kiss on Hinata's cheek before they both went back to their teams.

        The two got off from work at different times. Kageyama arrived later than his boyfriend. Hinata had just finished making dinner, for most, it could feed a family of four but the two are athletes, Hinata also can cook because he had to cook for Natsu growing up. Kageyama was greeted with the scent of Tonkatsu ramen, he eagerly hurried to the kitchen table despite his still bruised lower back. Hinata welcomes him and gave him a bowl. The two have dinner, talking about their day apart from each other. Hinata noticed Kageyama being careful with his lower back, surprisingly the ginger didn't make a comment because he knew for a fact that his boyfriend's back was bruised. Once dinner finished, Kageyama got up and was about to wash the dishes when Hinata beat him to the sink,

        "BOKE, DON'T RUN WITH DISHES THAT COULD BREAK!"

        "Whatever Tobio! Go take a shower. You smell!" Hinata countered.

        Kageyama decided not to argue since Hinata did make him dinner.

        While Kageyama showered, Hinata checked on him, putting a plain tee shirt and sweatpants in the bathroom for the younger boy. The ginger was careful not to make it obvious that he checked Kageyama's back, he was right, there was a dark purple bruise that was in the shape of a lumpy circle, around 8 inches long and 4 inches tall, give or take from its uneven edges.

        Hinata waited for Kageyama in their shared bed. The taller walked out after a few minutes later in the provided shirt and pants, "Oi, Shōyō, what do you want to watch?" Kageyama asked while picking up the remote. Hinata hummed, "Whatever is fine, can you do something for me though?"

        Kageyama raised an eyebrow, "Okay?" It sounds like more of a question than an answer. He turned on a recorded volleyball match and sat on his side of the bed, looking at Hinata with a blank stare. The ginger signaled for Kageyama to turn, when the taller boy gave a confused face, Hinata sighed.

        "Turn onto your stomach. Please," Hinata had to think about the please. Kageyama shifted on the bed, crawling forward so he could still watch the TV while on his stomach. The ginger shifted closer to the blueberry, gently lifting up Kageyama's shirt to reveal the bruise, glancing to check if Kageyama was uncomfortable. The taller wasn't fazed but opened his mouth to ask, he ended up not saying anything. Hinata continued, tracing his boyfriend's spine getting down to the bruise, gently outlining that too. Hinata lowered his head down and left a trail of kisses from the top of Kageyama's exposed back down to the center of the bruise. The older boy reached over to his nightstand, grabbing an ice pack with a towel wrapped around it, Hinata carefully put the ice pack on Kageyama's bruise. Kageyama tensed before relaxing into the cold.

        "How's that feel Tobio?" Hinata queried.

        "Really nice, Shōyō. Thanks," Kageyama responded.

        They kept like that until the volleyball match finished on screen. Hinata put the ice pack in the freezer again, coming back as Kageyama turned off the TV and had climbed back into bed probably, Hinata joining him. They snuggled up close and soon slipped to sleep.
