The sun was barely rising as I heard a knock on my door. Ugh, I will never get use to this.

"Enter." I said in a faint voice.

"Good morrow, Rebecca." Merlin said with a bright smile.

How could he be so calm? Today's the battle and if we fail we could lose it all. There is so much pressure on this battle.

"Good morrow, Merlin." I said with a forced smile.

"Get dressed and we'll see you in the dining hall." He ordered.

With that he left closing the door behind him. I slowly got out of bed and put on my knight clothing along with the armor. Once I got dressed I made my way to the dining hall where everyone was having breakfast. The knights were talking to one another. I sat down next to Lancelot and a knight I was told was named Erec. He had red curly hair with freckles and green eyes.

"Alright." Arthur said standing up. "Today you all know that we are about to battle the kingdom of Creven along with Morgana. Rebecca will be leading us in this battle as she has proved herself worthy of this position."

"We should be going." Merlin interrupted.

Arthur nodded. "Follow me."

We traveled to the outskirts of Avalon and once we got there Prince Myles, the King of Creven, and Morgana were standing in the front with the rest behind them. I stood in the front with Lancelot on my right and Arthur on my left. Morgana walked towards the middle of the field.

"I wish to speak to your chosen one before we fight." Morgana stated.

I turned to Arthur who nodded in approval. I walked towards the middle of the battlefield and made my way towards her. She had a black cloak around her clothing with her staff in her right hand.

"Will you still fight for my brother?" She asked ."Or will you join my side?"

"I think you know my answer, Morgana!" I spat. "I am on Arthur's side."

She wore a smirk on her face as she looked at Arthur and then at me. What was she up to? Her eyes turned from blue to a red color.

"What do you know?" She chuckled. "He cares deeply for you. It'll be a pity if one of you don't make it alive."

"The only one that won't make it out alive is you." I hissed.

She narrowed her eyes. "So be it."

She then turned around and walked back to her side as I did. How could she have the guts to say that? Once I came back Arthur was saying a speech to pump up our knights.

"We shall fight for our kingdom. If we die, we die with honor. We shall protect our kingdom until the very end." King Arthur said in a firm voice. "For Avalon!"

"For Avalon!" We all shouted.

At that moment both sides ran at one another. I began to fight Creven's knights. Lancelot was on my right helping me fight them off, while Percival was helping Arthur. Prince Myles his father were fighting against Arthur and Percival. I swung my sword around, dodging their attacks. Erec and Gawain were near Arthur, while Percival was fighting six knights. Merlin was trying to fight Morgana, but he didn't have enough magic to defeat her.

I was finishing off many off the knights as I could with my sword. I wanted to save my magic until I faced Morgana. Merlin was going to need all the help he could get. I heard a groan near me and I turned to find Gawain on the ground. Gawain?! I rushed over towards him.

"Gawain!" I yelled.

He had a sword in his stomach and I kneeled over trying to get it out of him. There was blood around the sword and I could tell that he was in pain.
