"Oh, Faenice," Ny mumbled as we entered the courtyard of Faenice, illuminated with some lamps along the path. He continued to cackle as we approached the mansion. "I can't believe you actually said that to a prince." His chin trembled then his whole body and he let out a chuckle. "I had to keep myself distracted with food to not laugh."

I slap his hands away and put a finger in front of my mouth. "Shh! Who knows if your master is behind those doors? He'll defend Prince Murien. You don't want him and me burning one another, do you?" Then, from a distance, we heard the beating of someone's wings, and we both looked up to see Calis slowing down.

And as soon as Cal touched down to the ground, Delan darted towards him, exclaiming, "Cal, you need to hear this!"

"You damned gremlin, you can't just tell everyone about it!" I dashed towards the two and tried to chase after Delaney. But he circled Calis with a grin on his face. "Why are you running!" I exclaimed and attempted to grab him.

"Guess what?" Delaney took a small leap like a damned kid on the street. Calis on the other hand began walking with a stoic face and seemingly not minding us as if we were just a couple of frustrating flies. "Our Cyan here roasted Prince Murieeeeen!" He cackled and clapped his hands so fast that he looked like he was having epilepsy.

Calis came to an immediate halt and shifted his apple-green eyes to me. Ny and I stopped as well, standing at both of his sides. Then, he patted me on the shoulder. "Tell me and Mor all the details later." With that, he proceeded inside the mansion.

"He's more similar to Morris than I thought," I mumbled and couldn't help but smile. I turned to Delaney who had finally calmed down. "But I can't believe you found it funny like the twins."

He took a dramatic, huge step. "Because it's entertaining."

I grinned and mirrored his actions, but with an extra hair flip. "And comical."

"And dramaaaaa," we sang along, put both of our hands on our own waists, and guffawed, marching inside the mansion.

"What is that diabolical laughter," Morris greeted us with a grimace on her face. We stared at her for a second and resumed laughing.

"For the love of Gods, stop that. You two are creeping me out!" She exclaimed and threw us both a cushion which we caught. She shook her head and beckoned at us to sit with her and Cal. "Just come here and tell me the whole details of that grilled . . . dragon."

"Grilled dragon?" A demanding voice echoed from up the staircase and the four of us craned our necks up. Fireflies, dressed in a black tunic and pants, climbed down until halfway. I hated to admit it, but he remained regal and dignified, even in casual clothes. However, he still had that black choker around his neck.

"Nothing of importance." I flashed him a grin and pulled out a small, fancy box. "Look, Prince Murien gave me a whole chocolate chip cookie cheesecake. He told me to enjoy it with the rest of Faenice and as a welcome gift." I set the box down on the center table, which Morris immediately opened with a whistle.

"Speaking of which, where are Lia and Zyrak?" Delaney questioned and cocked his brow.

"Zyrak said he's going to stay at Levio for tonight since he had to finish some written works with Saellan." Fireflies proceeded down the stairs and walked over to us. He halted right on my back and placed both his hands on the couch. "As for Rosellia, she said she'll be staying at Lupos with a classmate of hers to work on an assignment."

"Let's hurry and eat dinner and don't forget to only leave one slice for Rose—ack!" Fireflies whacked the back of Delaney's head, cutting him off. Delaney groaned and rubbed the back of his head, whilst I looked between them back and forth with a frown and parted lips.
