Break

Hello this is JYP of JYP Entertainment.
I am posting this for fans and to clear up everything for the press. K.A.R.D member, Stray Kids member, and soloist Somin Rodgers will be taking a month hiatus from Stray Kids production.
She is not leaving Stray Kids, but she is taking a short break. She will continue to work with K.A.R.D. and hopefully her new album, along with some dance promotions.
I hope you understand. Thank you.

Somin clicks out of the article and sighs deeply. She sits up on the couch and looks around. Shes been at the MonstaX dorm for about 2 days now. The entire time she had been laying around on the couch which was now her bed as she wasn't yet comfortable with sleeping in the same bed as the members.
She had been crying and very rarely had she been eating.
"Somin. You need to eat." I.M. says squatting down on the floor so he was eye level with the girl. She groans and runs her eyes. I.M. sets the bowl of ramen on the coffee table before reaching down on the couch to lift Somin up. She squeals and pushes him off. She sits on the couch.
"Here. Eat." He hands the bowl to her and she takes it. Her hands are shaky with drowsiness. She takes a few bites and looks up at him with her moth full.
"Satisfied?" She asks. He nods and leaves back to his room. The doorbell rings and Jooheon goes to open it. Theres a sound of quick mumbling before Jooheon calls out to her.
"Somin. It's for you!" He says. Somin gets up a little to quickly and runs to the front of the house.
"Chan?!" She asks getting her hopes up. Her smile remains on her face as she sees Jeongin, Han, Changbin, Minho, Hunjin and Mark from Got7. But even as her lips form into a smile, her heart aches as she doesnt see Chan. Yes she was mad, she was hurt, but she couldn't help feeling some way. Something that made her want to forgive him.
"Oppas." She smiles and walks slowly to the door. Her head was spinning and she finally realized how low her blood sugar was.
"Yah. Somin. Slow down." Changbin walks to her and holds her up by her waist.
"No offence love. But you look terrible." Hyunjin states
"Well no shit sherlock. How else are you supposed to react?" She says her voice choking.
"So much disrespect!" Hyunjin laughs. He comes to looks at her closer.
"Okay. Go shower and get changed. We are going out." Hyunjin says pushing her away.
"Okay. Minho-Oppa. Come here please." She motions for him to come and he does as told. He helps walk her to the bathroom and get her situated. Minho was one of the very few people other than Jiwoo and Nayeon who she felt comfortable in her own skin around. She thinks it's because when they first met they were told to do a few sensual dances together and during those times they worked super hard to be comfortable that they wore less clothes. It sounds weird but it is a true thing that happens. Minho left after turning the shower on and helping her remove her shirt and help washing her face.
She quickly showers and shaves before putting on a tennis skirt and a T-shirt that had been tied up in the front. She puts in some converse and puts her hair into a bun.
Before leaving the dorm she grabs her glasses and phone. The boys walk her to a nearby restaurant where they order and talk
"If you dont mind me asking but why is Mark-Oppa here?" She asks taking a piece of Kimchi.
"Well. I heard you and Chan talking at the show." He responds seriously.
"Oh sorry."
"Somin." Mark sets down his utensils lightly. "Why did you get into a fight?"
"Well. He didnt understand the fact that part if my job is to be close with the males in Korea. Plus all I really have a guys friends. Before that he never got jealous, because he should know that I wouldn't cheat. It wasn't me flirting it was me having fun with my friends. It was me actually being comfortable." She responds looking up.
"Somin. I know I dont know much. But do you really expect Chan to know absolutely everything? He is a good leader and tries to understand us at all times." Han says rubbing her shoulder.
"And trust me he even got jealous before you were dating. His mindset changed when you guys got together."
Somin eats a bit more slowly.
"Oppas." Somin starts again.
"Dont Oppa us. We are trying to be serious friends, who are currently butting into yours and Chans relationship because the thing we want most is for this to be fixed." Jeongin says putting his finger up.
"Yes. Chan had no right saying that stuff and being so aggressive. That was on him. But you also had some slip ups. You expected Chan to understand the friendships you were in. You expected him to know absolutely everything. But he didn't. No one ever really does. Now that. That was on you babes." Changbin says. Somin sighs deeply. She has had these talks before but nothing ever like this, or even based around this topic.
"Do you guys know what love is?" She asks.
"Of course. We love you and Chan-Hyung. That's why were here." Hyunjin says. "You're not as messed up as you think you are. You have experienced great relationships you have experienced what love is. You love Stays. You love us. But more importantly, you love Chan."
Those words made her heart stop.
"I-I dont know what love is." She simply states her eyes welling with tears.
"Believe me yes you do. Where do you think you would be if we never showed up in your life? Where would you be without your mom? Love. Love is strange, but powerful. It holds people together in so many different ways. Between siblings, parents, friends, and your first true relationship." Changbin says. "I love everyone in this room, including Mark-Hyung because he helped me an immense amount when we were trainees. I love you. I love Felix. I love Hyunjin. I love every single one of you because we are family." He takes a short breath as he gets choked up on his own tears. "Now. Look at me and tell me that you dont love us. Look at me and tell me you dont love Chan."
This makes Somin break down in tears. Her heart hurts, and she didnt know why. But now she knows. She was in love. In love with Chan. She loved her members dearly and to be honest doesn't know where she would be without them. Everyone else starts to sniff in sadness. Han and Jeongin were hugging her.
"You guys are butts. Is this what you showed up form to make me cry for like the 100th time. Lord." She laughs out.
"Hey! Were not that mean!" Mark laughs. They finish they're meal and continue to talk and laugh.
After Mark paid, they walked back to the MonstaX dorm.
"So. Do you want to come back early?" Jeongin asks with excitement. Somin breathes slowly before shaking her head no.
"Even if we talked this out. I still need a small break. I like staying with MonstaX. And I need to work on Solo promotions." She says. Jeongin and Han whine.
"What will we do without you! I might just die!" Hyunjin says acting it out. She laughs, as they arrive on the front porch.
"I love you guys. Thank you." She smiles and hugs everyone of the members. Changbin whispers something in her ear.
"No matter what. You better come back. You and Chan need to talk, but it can wait. Well give him the same talk." He says smiling and kissing her nose lightly. She returns the action. This was something they do often. Changbin was always protective over her, he was like a mom to her.
She waves bye and walks into the dorms.
"Hellllloooooooo!" She says with a bright smile.
"Ah! You look much happier!" Hyungwon says. He's happy. The group hasn't known her long but they do care about her. She is a Monbebe after all.
"Its good. We got rid of all that negative energy." Wonho says coming to her and rubbing her head. She smiles up at the muscular man.
"I'm going to do better! And since I'm here for a bit, why dont I help you guys out? I can cook and clean." She says clapping her hands together.
"Can you make ramen?" Wonho asks getting excited. She laughs and nods. He's happy.
"Well. Its good. We like having you here. Gives us motivation." Shownu says.
"Yep! And now we can help each other out with promotions!" Minhyuk states happily.
"Yes. Speaking of which. Do you guys want to help me with dance promotions?" Somin asks fixing her glasses.
"Would we ever!" Minhyuk jumps around. He's a little fanboy. That's how they get along so well. The other boys nod in agreement.
"Well. I need to work out. Is there a gym nearby?" She asks.
"I was actually going to go in a bout 10 minutes. Do you want to come with me and Shownu-Hyung?" Wohon asks. Somin nods and goes to change into some sweats and a sports bra.
"Let's go!" She smiles at the boys. She grabs her jacket like the other guys, and puts it on.
They walk to the gun together Woojin and Shownu on both sides of her. She hated feeling so short. She pouted, sticking her bottom lip out and crossing her arms.
"What's wrong?" Wonho asks.
"I dont like feeling short." She pouts. "I deal with it all the time and I look super smart compared to you guys right now."
Wonho runs in front of her and bends down.
"Here. I'll give you a piggy back ride." He smiles looking behind him. She gladly takes the offer and squeals as she jumps on his back. She holds on tight as he holds onto her legs. He lifts her up a little higher to where she was not at the height of Shownu.
"Ha! How you like that?" She laughs.
Shownu laughs smiling at the younger girl. The rest of the walk was about 15 minutes and Wonho didn't break a sweat.
(Damn. He is literally so frickin fine.... why do I like older men? Halp me!)
"Okay! What do you work out on?" Shownu asks as him and Wonho remove their jackets and shirts. Somin blushes immensely.
(Again....HALP MEEEEE)
"Well. My manager actually wants me to keep my non-Korean looking body, so I have to work on my legs, buttocks, hips and stomach." Somin says removing her jacket.
"Well we need to work on our upper body. Theres some lower body trainers over there if you want help. Later why dont we work on our cores later together?" Shownu says. Somin nods and walks to where Shownu pointed out.
After a bit of working out sweat was forming on her head and she walked to the vending machine to get a water. She sits down and scrolls through her phone. She finds a video of her and Chan working out together and smiles slightly. Her heart aches to apologize but she didn't know if he even wanted to see her.

Chan walks out of the kitchen and to the living room. The rest of the boys had a deep conversation with him leaving him speechless. He crawls onto the couch and looks at the side table with the lamp. Next to the lamp is a picture of the Maknae line. He picks it up and smiles stroking the frame lightly. His eyes fall over Somins face. She was in mid-laugh and looking at the camera. I shouldn't have ever said that stuff to her. I should've owned my shit, and said we were together. I shouldn't have hid it from the guys. He was deep on thought as he got up and looked around the room. The room was scattered in pictures everyone was working on cutting out for the new decoration on their recording room.
Chan surfs through the photos placed across the table. He picks up one from their first win. He smiles over the memory. A picture of Minho, Hyunjin, Somin, and Felix playing rock paper scissors for who was the best dancer. Minho won. Then he came across a picture of him and Somin.
It was when he came to visit her in America. It was when he first started to like her. He puts the picture down lightly, and looks up at the ceiling of the room.  I've liked her for 3 years now. He laughs at the thought. Felix clears his throat behind him making Chan jump.
"Oh hey Felix." He laughs in English.
"Hey Chris." Felix sits next to him. "Now. I dont like talking to you about such grown up things but this is something that we need to talk not only as friends but as band mates. Are you in love with Somin?"
Chan gulps. As hes about to answer Felix continues.
"When you first laid eyes on her, what did you notice first? Answer wisely."
"Well. When I first saw her, she was crying. I could tell she was in pain. I came and talked to her."
"Do you want to see her cry again?"
"Absolutely not. Anytime she cries its breaks a piece of my soul." Chan says.
"Then think about how she feels. My mom once told me that when I was in love their would always be hard ships, but the best part is always being able to smile and be together in the end. I think you and Somin deserve that."
"Wow(shes hot.... sorry). Felix. I-Im in love with Somin." Chan says getting up.
"About mother trucking time." Felix says giving him a high five.
"I'm going to go find her." He was about to walk out, but Felix planted his hand on his shoulder.
"You need to give her time." Felix says. "Just a little bit."
"I dont know how long I can wait but alright." Chan turns and looks at him weirdly.
"This might be the first time I have ever heard you say something remotely smart." He laughs. Felix just hits him and sits back down on the couch.
