The Van Der Linde gang were moving camps from Horseshoe Overlook to what they hoped to be Clemens Point after an unfortunate encounter with the law and other enforcements in Valentine.
To add to that, they happened to steal from a very dangerous person by the name of Madam Nazar...

Madam Nazar watched their caravan pass by a cliff she was near, furious, she knew who they were and what they did but she didn't think it would do much to just turn them in, no she decided she would send them somewhere she knew they wouldn't survive a day.
"You shall not steal from me without serious consequences!" She yelled at them before they could draw their guns or do anything, everything started to disappear around them...
