━━━𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞━━━"𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐅𝐔𝐍𝐍𝐘!" Mallory said between laughs as Klaus pointed out a blonde teenager with an unusual amount of black on, "He could be going to a funeral and you're over here ranting about how estranged the teens these days are."
"Apologies angel, I can't help it if all these bloody children think it's fun to stick their noses where they don't belong," His lips made a tsk sound as he glared at Matt Donovan, blue eyes taunting the human best they could. Klaus knew the pesky mystic falls residents were planning something, but right now that was the last thing on his mind.
Mallory and Klaus had gotten up surprisingly early, the human girl eager to see the quaint town, and the hybrid eager to spend time with Mallory and hopefully start to understand these unidentifiable feelings.
The air was beating across their skin in a frigid splash of wind that left Mallory covered in goosebumps and Klaus unaffected-than again after a thousand years a slight draft didn't really cause any reaction from him.
"It's kinda weird the only friends you have are teenagers with surprisingly nice hair-like c'mon when I was sixteen I had the greasiest hair-and your siblings." Grabbing his hand Mallory started to walk quicker towards The Grill, Ignoring the coldness that covered her hand at the touch of his skin, a welcomed sensation to her usually burning flesh, Mallory took a deep breath to calm her quickening heart at the contact.
"Oh trust me, they are most certainly not my friends,"
"Seems fake but okay," Only saying the words to get a rise out of Klaus. Mallory gave off a toothy grin, instantly replacing his aggravated face with one of admiration, "Now can we please go get food because I'm starving and the smell of overly greasy burgers and undercooked fries is really calling my name right now!"
Going to the Grill, a well-known hangout for the Salvatores and their posse, was likely not the best idea. Especially with the group using anything and everything as leverage to stop the Mikaelsons. But with a grumble from Mallory's stomach, Klaus decided that the risk of the Scooby Gang attacking them in a bar was very unlikely.
Once settled in the overcrowded bar Mallory leaned across the table to make sure he could hear her over the loud noise of teenagers and bustling of the wait staff, "Okay now tell me, whats the town gossip?"
Niklaus let a deep chuckle emanate from his throat, a noise thick like honey and rich like chocolate that made Mallory's stomach swarm with a different kind of hunger, though she ignored it as he talked, "Sorry to inform you but I prefer not to trouble myself with trivial manners such as hearsay, though I'll be sure to inform you if I catch whiff of anything."
"How's the hybrid army coming along?"
It was a joke, Mallory clearly referring to the text messages he had sent her that she assumed were absolute jokes, though Klaus still stiffened slightly at the words, causing her to wave her hands and continue to speak,
"Don't worry Nikki 'tis a joke. Though still not sure why your way of scaring me off was talking about werewolves and vampires. If anything it totally turned me on because Jasper and Rosalie Hale could run me over with a bus and I'd thank them before dying happily,"
"Are you talking about that show you insisted I watch? About the boy who sparkled in the sun?"
"Don't you dare do my edgy baby Edward Cullen like that," She scrunched her nose and nudged him, "Don't be jealous though, Bella may have a cute broody boyfriend, But does she have a super hot tour guide like me?"
"Ms. Browns are you flirting with me?" Klaus raised his eyebrows at the compliment, his lips twisting into a dimpled grin-one that very similarly resembled Mallory's own. Though he was sure his own was much less sunny and joyful.
"What if I was?" Mallory cursed herself for the shakiness of her voice and the nerves in her stomach. Fluttering her eyelashes she continued, "We could always ya know, do the 'ol razzle-dazzle?"
Jesus fucking christ Mallory you are never getting laid by this British hottie she thought angrily, biting her lip in frustration at her lack of flirting skills. Then again was a one night stand all Mallory wanted from Klaus? She didn't know, whenever it came to Klaus she felt so utterly baffled by his unusual words and even more bizarre actions.
Before Klaus could answer the innuendo a dark-haired waiter came by to take their orders. Leaving the hybrid with a very uncomfortable tightness in his pants.

"So tell me about your family, from what I've seen they're definitely a violent crew," Mallory commented, sipping her glass of hot chocolate and staring at him from under her eyelashes, the bar significantly less crowded than it was hours earlier.
They'd been steadily sipping on boozes and hot chocolate for hours, the pair falling back into their comfortable ways of conversing after a day of awkward introductions, now their chatters resembling that amiable feeling they held over the phone.
Klaus grinned, that wolfish smile that made Mallory's heart pick up in pace, before twirling his finger around the bourbon bottle's rim and answering, "We've been through quite a bit together, and though we've had our fair share of quarrels I think we'll always be bonded by our blood. It's a curse really, being forever tied to a person simply because of your genetic code."
"Well I dunno about that, I moved away from my parents and left them all the way in Florida so it is possible to break away from family ties. Then again I have no siblings so maybe it's different, only child tingz ya know?"
"You must miss them right?" Klaus wasn't completely sure why he asked, maybe it was a sick curiosity to find out if this seemingly happy go lucky girl was even a fraction as broken as he, "Your parents I mean."
Mallory twirled the straw around her hot chocolate before humming in response, a similar action Klaus had taken almost moments prior, "I guess so, I've always been close with them but I think they're happy being away from me. Nineteen years of Mallory Browns is too much for anyone."
"I highly doubt anyone could get sick of you Mallory," The hybrid drawled, leaning across the table easily and placing his calloused hands on her smooth ones, "The mere idea seems improbable."
"To be fair you hated me at first..."
Klaus grinned at the memory, wetting his dry lips before turning the heated gaze back to her "That's because at first, you were an annoyance, gum on my shoe-"
"Wow, aren't you a flirt," Noise coming out slightly breathless Mallory gulped, her throat scratchy at the touch of his hand on hers, "Really know the way to a girl's heart."
"I reckon your insistence on fly rights won me over."
"Mhm, not the picture I sent you in a bikini,"
Klaus winked "That may have been a plus,"
Bickerings fading slowly into the buzz of a slow song Klaus pulled Mallory closer, her body leaning across the table so they were only inches apart, so close their breaths mingled in a warm scent of liquor and chocolate, clearly reflecting on their late-night drinks they'd been steadily sipping on to avoid going back to the Mikaelson Mansion and to prolong the few days they had with each other.
Neither could feel their faces, their heads fuzzed and their hearts buzzed in a rhythmic melody that sent them into a dizzying phase of euphoria. Klaus leaned in first, his head nearing Mallory's slowly, giving her every opportunity to pull away, none of which she planned to take.
A voice cut in, breaking away their small bubble of safety and purity as a voice exclaimed, "Would you like the check now?"
