"Aren't you going to give your mother a 'welcome home' kiss or hug?"

Backing away a little, you felt your heart dropping out of your chest when you finally saw your mother sitting down behind your two siblings on a chair. Her face hasn't changed one bit before she had left, and it seemed like her attitude hadn't changed a bit either just from her strict aura.

When your mother stood up from the chair, you felt even more afraid than ever. Your heart was literally going to burst out of your mouth in any second if she dares to walk towards you with no hesitation. She was something you feared of. And there was a lot of reasons why you had a bad relationship with your mother.

In a few steps from the dining room, she did continued to walk straight to you with a cold face. In every step her foot took you took a step back with your hands collided on your chest where your heart was located. Your pupils were even shaking at this point.

"My, my, why are you shaking? Is it because I'm here? or is it because you're just afraid that I'm here..."

You heard her question with such a mature and lady like voice that'll you'll mistaken her as an old maiden. "I-I'm..." you tried to reply but your stammering tone kept you off guard. "I-I...I'm n-not afraid..." you finally answered to your mother with your head facing down for her to avoid seeing your face. You hear her hum in response.

"Is that so? Well, you haven't changed either, huh? I'm surprised that you're still keeping that stupid ribbon on your head..." your mother spats very silently to avoid your little siblings from hearing.

You quickly take a grasp of your ribbon on your hair when your mother said that in such a strict tone. You were afraid that she would probably pull the ribbon out from your hair. And this ribbon was something very important. For a few seconds, she sighs. "Whatever, it's your choice anyways if you wanna keep something unfashionable like that..." she says with her eyes rolling.

"I'm going to take a look at your grades so hurry up, go upstairs and get dressed," your mother adds before heading back to the dining room where your siblings were at. After she left, you slowly removed your shoes and quickly ran upstairs to your room.

There was a lot of boxes and luggages around the hallway upstairs. It was like you guys were moving out of the house but no, it was just all of the stuff your mother brought home along with her from Canada. You felt down just by seeing your mother's face. It gave you so much bad memories from something you didn't want to remember.
