PART 4: Present

September 23, Friday, 11:52am

"Thank you, (yn), for your wonderful report and presentation." Your math teacher said, "Class dismissed."

The bell rang, and all of your classmates left the classroom for lunch except Akaashi.

"Akaashi! Thank you very much for helping me." You said as you walked toward him.

"No problem." He said and invited you to join him for lunch. You agreed.

You went to the cafeteria and took your seats by the window, sitting in front of each other.

"(Yn)-chan, can I ask for a favor?" Akaashi began to ask.
"Anything." You answered.
"Can you make a painted portrait of my mom?" He asked, "It's okay if you won't do it."
You were surprised from his request, but you thought that you were in no position to reject it, since he helped you a lot too. In fact, you're happy to help him.
"I'll be willing to help you. I'm glad you reached out to me."
"Really? Thank you very much."
"Though, can I ask what is it for?"
"It's a gift for my mom," He answered, "It's her birthday next week."
"You have a great idea for a present." -You
"I couldn't think of any other ideas. Sorry if this troubles you." -Akaashi
"No, It won't. I have the whole weekend. Just send me a picture of her and I'll start the sketch tonight." -You
"All right. I'll send you a photo later." -Akaashi

You and Akaashi continued to eating your foods, when Bokuto came running in your direction.
"Akaashi~ (yn)~ Watcha' doin'?" Bokuto asked as he arrived to the table.
"Uhh...Eating lunch. Duh~" You rolled your eyes.
"Oh? I thought you were having a date." Bokuto teased.
You and Akaashi choked from what he said. Akaashi recovered by beating his chest. He handed you his water bottle since you're still choking, and not able to beat your chest. You drank the water, and slowly started to breath.
"Two person eating doesn't mean they're dating." You said, still coughing.
"Bokuto-san, why don't you join us?" Akaashi invited Bokuto.
Bokuto hummed, "Okay. I'll just sit over here." Bokuto sat beside Akaashi.
"(Yn), can I have your sandwich?" Bokuto said pointing at the sandwich in your tray.
You gave Bokuto your sandwich.
"So, how was your report?" Bokuto asked.
"It was great." -You answered.
You, three, continued to talk about your day.

After school and training, before you and Bokuto head the opposite direction, You tell Akaashi to send her mom's photo later.
"I'll send it to you as soon as I arrive home." Akaashi answered.
You said your goodbyes and goodnights to the team and left with Bokuto.

Later that night, You still didn't recieve a chat from Akaashi. But after you took a shower, you checked your phone and see a chat notification.

MESSAGE RECIEVED FROM: Keiji :>

Keiji :>
Sorry for the delay.
My dad needed help as I arrived home.

You
It's okay.
The painting can wait.

Keiji :>
Anyway, I'll send you her photo now.

You stared at his mom's photo and admired how beautiful she is. Akaashi-san is really beautiful. I can tell Keiji got his looks from her. I want to meet her and tell her how pretty she is. You thought.
