RECAP: I threw on some black leggings and an oversized sweater, what's new haha? I then brushed through my long brown hair and called it a day.

Once I was ready, my dad drove me 30 minutes away to my moms.

As soon as I got there, my dad gave me a hug and drove away as I proceed to walk to the front door.

Their house was beautiful. When you walked in the front door, there was a long a long hallway, just like Dereks house.

Then if you turned to the left, it was the living room, and if you looked to the right, it was the stairs and the kitchen.

"Hey Stella!" Jesse said as he looked at me from the kitchen.

He walked over to me and leaned in for a hug.

I didn't realize how much I missed him. I'm guessing he's sober...

I hugged him back with the biggest smile on my face.

"Your mother and I tried our best to make ends meet with this house, especially your room." he said as he took my bag.

I began following Jesse as he took me to my room.

When you first walk up the stairs, it was another long beautiful hallway. The last door on the left was my very own room.

I opened the door and literally gasped.

My room had a very gorgeous chandelier hanging from the ceiling, with a grey and white theme. I turned around and hugged Jesse.

"Thankyou so much, Jesse!" I said as he hugged me back.

I finally let go and looked away as I frowned.

Jesse and my mom have brainwashed me and tried to do everything and anything to get me to live with them. I'm guessing this is there way of doing it once again.

I looked down, not so happy that I agreed to come over.

Even though this house is amazing, I have everything I need with my dad.

I don't need a big house to be happy, I just need to be with my dad.

I was out of it for a second until I felt a hand grab my shoulder. I turned around right away and smacked their arm.

"Stella what the hell." Jesse said as he pulled his arm back.

Oh my gosh. I just smacked my step-dad. Ever since the whole incident happened with Derek, I've been so jumpy. Even though I know he's nothing like Derek, i still react in a defensive way to anyone.

"I- I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to, I thought you were-" I stopped myself before I said his name.

Does Jesse even know about it?

"Derek." Jesse finished what I was going to say.

I looked up in confusion.

"H-how do you know?" I stuttered. He left the room as I followed him.

"Your father told me to be careful with you, and he explained why." Jesse said as we walked down stairs.
