It was getting late when they started their first beer. They started talking about the most bizarre things, starting from school life and ending in politics while making a stop in fantasizing over how things could have tourned out if they didn't do one certain thing in their life.
This theme took Haku not all so well cause he couldn't not think about how life might have been if he never left home. He didn't wanted to think about that. He despised this thought and started feeling uncomfortable due to him thinking back on his past life once again. He began to sink deeper into thoughts and the others around him were too much into their conversation that they didn't notice Haku being uncomfortable. They laughted while Haku sank deeper and deeper into a sea that drag him down like a void. The ever so darker seeming place he once escaped dragged him now in again.
As suddenly a tap on his shoulder sent him tumbeling back into reality, he hadn't noticed himself crawling backwards away from the group untill he saw it. In front of him Luanne with a rather worried expression. >>A-are you alright?<<
She asked him with a shaking voice. Nervously Haku looked around finding the trusting eyes of Luanne looking at him in a worried manner. He slowly nods and slightly smiles at her. She holds him her hands out and grabs his while doing so >>if anything is on your mind, go on... tell me.<<
Emberassed because he didn't wanted to admit he was feeling unwell and because he didn't want to tell the things he was thinking. Luanne pulled Haku closer to hug him. As they hugged Haku felt so much better then he had in a long time. He never got a hug that felt this good. He nearly would have said 'uwu' out loud due to his online comunications being like that.
He was sad the hug ended so soon, because it just felt so good but he didn't want to say it, so as they sat back down he grabbed Luannes arm and held it and leaned on it. It looked like she was his older sister, though she was younger. He forgot for a moment that the others were there too until he heard Tris voice again. At the other side of the circle there he sat, the one person who made Haku feel like crying at the start and like family now. Tristan was talking with Nessa, Cassidy and Coal. They talked about how it felt for Tris not having had a mother in his past, or how it feels to know your dad is home rarely and they asked him how it felt like having much of his fathers money. He smiled always saying he didn't have too much money. He didn't know how rich he actually was. He wasn't too rich but for this neighborhood he was probably considered the richest.
After hearing a light cough from the direction of Haku, he saw his friend holding on to the arm of this girl who gave a nursuring aura from her. She had something to herself to draw no attention when not looking but once you spot her you needed to maintain look. If you look away you don't look back at her due to it drawing you towards her but rather because you wanted to look this direction anyway. He felt happy his friend was close to other people too and couldn't help bit smile a bit more even if it was just a moment. The group surrounding him told him to drink a round with him to wich he complied just this once.>>What did you think of back there? I was very worried cause you looked terrified.<< Lu's soft and warm voice said to Haku
>>I-I... I was, just imagining what... might have bren if one thing in my life... never would have happened.<< he said ever so trembling with his voice.
He looked a bit shocked by what words had escaped his mouth. He didn't wanted to say any of that, he wanted to keep it to himself.
>>Well,... I'm glad you, are here now where you are and nobody can take that away.<<
He thought 'yeah... nobody' as a slight smile together with tears left his face. He used his turtleneck to wipe some of the tears away while the others of the group had left for drinks. Once again he got pulled into the entrusting arms of Lu and his head was pressed against her upper body, that's a comparison to how small he is. He could hear her heart beat, it was nearly as soft as her voice if not even softer but her heart wasn't on a too slow pace. It's not racing but certainly not all too calm either.
Lu looked at her phone for a brief second then mumbling something, as Haku aked what she'd said she answered >>I said the fireeork will start in 10 minutes<<.
This meant it must be 23:50
>>and also, what you want to wish from the firework or plead or do, fireworks are magical you know?<<
>>Anything's magical with your friends by your side.<<
She stroked his hair while hugging him tightly and thinking of a wish to ask for.The others came back with a beer each, only Tris got three and asked Haku and Lu if they wanted one. Lu declined for now while Haku told him 'not the entire one'. As they all were laughing and talking they heard a strange sound go off, followed by an explosion of some sort.
They looked around to find where the firework had exploded. Coal, Cassidy and Nessa drank to the explosion whilr Haku, Lu and Tristan where just watching the firework. Haku grabbed the arm of Tristan and pulled at it to tell him to come down to their level. As those three just sat there watching the nights sky lit up in many different colours. For just a moment of silence between explosions made for the perfect pauses to gasp at the beauty of the erupting fireworks. The colours of the fireworks reflecting in the eyes of the three people entangled in the show on the sky.
The colourful fireworkshow lastet for nearly half an hour but it was half an hour worth of watching. There had been big, small, crazy, tame, plain or with a pattern made fireworks. The smile of the three spectators of the show spread to the remaining three too due to them starting to watch the show at the end too.
They didn't notice it at first but Haku was holding on th Lu's and Tristan's arm the entire show. There are probably already pictures of Haku an Lu in their group shared and probably also Tristan could be in some too.As they wrapped things up Coal and Luanne noticed that their last train and bus left for today, they would need to walk home for 2 hours. They discussed for quite some time until coming to the conclusion that Lu, Coal and Haku sleep at Tris' place. With Tristan as host of the official, unofficial sleepover there's nothing that could go wrong. Okay, there definitely are things that could go wrong but maybe they're lucky for once and things don't go wrong for once.
