Meagan's POV--------------------------------------------------

I had been texting Brandon, pretty much, non-stop. He actually enjoys talking to me when he can, we talk about our lives, our dreams, and hopes, our families and just about anything else. I got less and less timid around him, and the guys, and I usually feel so confident after Skyping or even calling him. It's like he always understood what I meant when it came out wrong. I feel bad though, like it won't last even though it feels like he's my other half. My phone started ringing "Galaxies" by Owl City.

"Heyo?" I answered, a smile creeping itself onto my face.

"Meagan, hey," Brandon cheered, a little out of breath.

"How goes it in Texas?" They were on one of their last dates.

"Awesome, finished about an hour ago, our manager was chasing me on the bus," He laughed, causing me to giggle a bit.

"I could only guess why," I teased.

"It was curfew, but I still wanted to hang with the fans," He said, sighing. His dedication to fans was so cute.

"Always next time, Dallas is a pretty regular tour stop," I said, stretching out on the couch I slept on last night.

"Can't wait to be home, though, it'll be nice to just relax for a week or two." My face lit up, excited for his return, where I could actually see him.

"I can't wait either," I giggled, brushing the orange-ish brown bangs from my eyes.

"It'll be nice seeing a familiar face," Brandon said softly, "Especially since that familiar face is so adorable." I blushed, a nervous laugh escaping my lips. He always says little things like that, and it always drove me crazy.

"But we've been Skyping, you've seen my face plenty of times," I joked, trying to smooth over the awkward that started to grow.

"Only from a camera, in real life things are always better, well, maybe not always," He laughed, I could imagine rolling his eyes as well. Suddenly my door bell rang, shrilly, causing me to suck in a breath.

"Oh crap, sorry, gotta go Brandon, have fun and be safe, all that," I said, letting him say goodbye before ending the call and opening the door. It was someone I didn't really want to see.

"Crystal?" Daniel whispered, looking trashed and unshaven.

"Daniel," I sneered, feeling a bit cocky, "What are you doing here?"

"I want you back, I know we were never really a thing, but please. I love you." He slurred a little, tears welling in his emerald eyes.

"No, I told you not to look for me, get out," I went to shut the door, but he put a foot in, wincing.

"Crystal, please, I feel so numb without you," Daniel cried, touching my hand that held the door. I felt bad for the guy, but he doesn't know me at all.

"I'm sorry, you'll find someone else, you're just clingy," I rolled my eyes, flashing a fake smile, swinging the door open, but quickly slammed it in his face, locking all three locks. I should probably explain. Daniel knew me when I worked in TN, but I didn't really trust him, or like him, so I gave him this whole fake schpeal. I didn't feel bad about doing it, well at least not really bad, I was just nervous as heck in case he knew I was lying. But he bought it all, and we hung out for like a week, but he acted as if we were dating. Clingy, see? I sighed, changing into a plain white sweater that went to my knees, dark denim skinnies, and ankle-high white and cream fuzzy boots. While braiding my hair, a received a text from Emalee, asking how I was doing, and about Brandon. Oh goodness, the mentioning of me and him in the same sentence makes my face blush terribly. I replied with;

~I'm wonderful :D how's it going with you and Drake? Brandon actually lives near me so I get to see him when he gets back from a supporting tour ^u^~

I put on some white eye shadow I found lying around and just a thin line of dark brown eyeliner. Smiling, I stood from my old oak vanity, carefully placing things in a neat manner, sliding my phone into my pocket, and back to the small living room. It was a bit of a mess. Emalee texted me back while I was putting away my favorite fuzzy blanket in my room, it read;

~Awesome! Me and Mr. Christopher are on our way to Cali, I'm taking him home. Aw, you'd guys be super adorables together.~

I blushed times 1000.

Me: ~Thanks hehe ^-^ You and Drake are perf~

I rolled my eyes a bit, giggling at myself. My best friend Olivia sent me a text wanting to hang out at her house, I said I would be right there, and grabbed my little grey purse, heading out the door, making sure to lock it in case Daniel tried something. It was pretty chilly today, considering it's Arkansas. I drove silently to Olive's, like usual I didn't put on the radio or a CD like most people, I enjoyed the quietness. When I got there, I still didn't have a reply from Emalee, so I figured she just got busy and shrugged it off.

"Hey! Oh gosh I haven't seen you in forever Me!" Olivia squeezed the life out of me, I laughed and squirmed a bit. She looked the same; bright blonde hair curled, brownish green eyes, shorter than me, and very happy.

"Olive, it's great to see you! I really missed you, it sucks going to Tennessee for a month," She let me inside, plopping down on the couch.

"I know! Oh, by the way, Drew is gonna be here, with a friend, then we're gonna make our own pizzas," Olivia grinned at her plan; whenever you visit her, she always has a fun plan.

"Olive, you know how shy I am," I whined, I could probably deal with the guys, I just didn't want anyone to have an interest in me, because, well, y'know, Brandon.

"Shush, you'll enjoy it, I know it's even worse when you're basically the third wheel." She said, logic beating mine by a lot. I did hate it when I was around other couples, alone and no where to run without being completely rude.

"Fine." I accepted it, crossing my arms, suddenly very self-conscious. Not a second later my phone chimed, I pulled it out of my pocket, and it was from Brandon; ~Are you okay? I know it seems out of the blue, but just wondering..~

My heat skipped a beat while a big smile tugged at my lips.

Me: ~I'm okay, thanks for wondering:)~

Olive gave me a strange look, "Who's texting you and how'd they get you to smile so big," She said seriously.

"No one, Liv, just a friend," I shrugged lightly, the door being knocked on before anything else could come out of her mouth.

"Hey babe, hey Carson," I heard from the entrance, I got up, slowly making my way to the kitchen. Brandon text me back; ~No problem, just felt worried~. I blinked for a few seconds, sighing, then people burst in.

"Welcome back to the Natural State, Megs!" Drew came over and hugged me, I returned with a smile and wave. Behind him was a tall guy, but not as tall as Brandon, sandy blonde hair that was slicked back, blue eyes, and was kind of muscley, wearing a solid dark green jacket, light denim jeans, and a pair of black and white DCs.

"This is Carson Smith, my best friend," Drew laughed, patting the guy on the back, who looked at him annoyed a bit.

"Nice to meet you," Carson gave me a sickly sweet smile. I sent a shy one back.

"You too," I mumbled, fidgeting with the hem of my sweater, not looking at him.

"She's a shy girlie, but when you get to know her, you'll adore her!" Drew laughed, grabbing Olivia by the waist and hugging her, "Let's make some pizzas!" Carson slung an arm around my shoulders, grinning.

Oh, this was going to be terrible.
