1) The idea of the story came out of the names of the main characters - Meera and Haider. I watched an Indian web series 'Tanhaiyaan' (which I might add I didn't enjoy so much) but the names stuck with me, like the two names belonged to one another, hence giving birth to your Meera and Haider.
2) The first chapter of this story - Haider's introduction was written almost three years ago and then abandoned and then I picked it up from there during the start of lockdown.
3) Kanika wasn't suppose to be an evil backstabbing bitch initially, rather a sister to Meera, but asal zindagi Mai, those we trust the most often stab us in the back (not always but meh)
4) Tahir was suppose to be the reckless playboy who slept with women even after his marriage (but then I hate infidelity) and their marriage was suppose to be a failure.
5) Haider was suppose to be a ruthless king, short tempered, rash, unreasonable almost cruel king, well he was all of that as a person (husband) but always a nice king.
6) Avantika was never meant to be a character, or given importance in the book but somehow she did get a good amount of role and hence Abhishek was brought back and his character built to complement her.
7) Zulekha was suppose to go mad after the fighting pit scene and then was to cause harm to Noor and blame Meera but then I thought it would be too cliche.
8) 90% of the plot was built on spontaneity. Never did I pre envision a plot and lead the characters there.
Be it Avantika's arrival or Kanika's pregnancy or Hania's marriage in the end to Meera's brother.9) Tahir's father (Haider's fathers Prime minister) was suppose to be a strong fatherly character who saved and shaped Haider's life and I wanted to introduce him as well but decided against it (I still don't know why)
10) Tahir was to take the role as thr prime minister after his father but then I decided to make him the army chieftain and introduce a new (although not very significant) character as the prime minister.
