Day 4
The sun rose, filling the sky with shades of orange and pink. Peach and magenta, amber and rose, radiating hope, a new beginning. Another chance to live. The start of a brand new day.
You all ate through your rations and drank all the water. You tried to make it last as long as you could but it just wasn't enough. Weak from hunger and dehydration, everyone stayed in the same circle you formed from the first day.
You used up all flammable materials so there was no more fire and it just got colder and colder. There were frigid temperatures that made your skin shiver. The cold was good for something however. Slowing the infections of the wounds.
To add onto the pile of problems, the hallucinations set in. You raise your head from Spencer's shoulder and squint your eyes.
A black figure stood there. It was probably no more than 120 feet away. It was waving what looked like an arm, signaling you to follow as it went into the deep forest.
Was that someone who was willing to help? But why didn't he just call out...
You slowly got up, stumbling as you straightened yourself. You held onto your aching stomach and tried walking forward.
"Hey..!" A weak Spencer yelled. He tried to grab your hand but missed. "Y/n where are you going?"
He groaned in pain as he struggled to get up and go after you. Rule 2: Never go alone.
"Y/n wait!" He limped his way over to you and grabbed your wrist.
"Let's go back to camp. Come on." He tried to bring you back carefully, not wanting to hurt you.
"But Spencer, theres someone in the woods." Your eyes were cold and they never stopped looking in the direction of this figure you claimed to have seen.
He looks over his shoulder and sees no one. There was no one there. Then it hit him. Hallucinations.
"Y/n, no ones there you're hallucinating okay? We haven't slept in 3 nights. Now please come back. There is no one out here. It's just us."
His own words punched him in the stomach. The sudden realization that you were out there alone. No one was coming for you. This was your fate. You were going to die out in these woods, alone.
Garcia's pov
Back at the BAU...
"Come on..." She whispered to herself. Her computer buzzed and she typed away.
Little did you all know, the second she got news your plane had crashed, she never stopped looking for you. She barely slept and stayed in her office all day and night.
She discovered that the black box was destroyed in the crash so that meant she had to do this old school.
She tried to estimate where the plane could've gone down and sent helicopters to survey the area. There were search and rescue teams going out almost everyday for extensive amount of hours.
She refused to believe her family was gone.
She was right, she just didn't know it yet.
Y/n's pov (1st)
The rest of the day was filled with silence.
I could've sworn I saw someone. Spencer thinks I'm just "hallucinating" but how would he know? What if that was a person who was there to help us? Well.... he was a dr with an IQ of 187. Maybe he was right about the hallucinations. After all, JJ claimed she saw her son. We quickly shot that down, telling her no one was there. Was that how everyone saw me? Crazy?
I felt like I could eat anything. If we stayed out here any longer I'm going to go insane.
(3rd)
After the hallucinations subsided, no one talked. They were all trapped in their thoughts. How much longer would we be here? Is this it? Things like that. Hope was really hard to believe in now.
Everyone looked terrible. Clothes and hair matted, skin was flaky and dry, fatigue set in, and coughing was common.
Would this be the way the Behavioral Analysis Unit of Quantico Virginia go down?
