Geonhak chewed on his pencil as he stared intently at his writing pad. He had never been in such a block before, and the thousands of crumpled up paper balls reminded him of that. The ever present time pressure just made everything worse. One week to hand over an entire song as a mere assignment was ridiculous. Usually, Geonhak would have not minded it, but this time the circumstances were different.

"Geonhak-hyung, you don't need to pressurise yourself."

His friend and dorm mate, Dongju, would keep reminding him, but he knew the actuality of those words. They were words of consolation, probably coming out after hearing him cry every night.

He tried to be as silent as possible, but nonetheless it still hurt. Tomorrow was going to be one year.

Not finding the will or inspiration to write anything, he flung himself onto his bed. Tears soon followed.

Everything still smells of him.

Curling up, he wanted to shriek. Everything hurt.

He had never loved someone as dearly as him before.

He felt Dongju's looming figure peak in through the door, but he paid no attention to him. Everything was numb.

"Don't worry, hyung. Things will get better."

He didn't turn to face him.

"Dongju-ya, did I not love him enough?" His voice sounded shattered as he breathed out his words, a huge lump starting to form in his chest.

"I saw everything. You cherished him more than anything in the world."

Geonhak finally broke down.

"Then why did he leave me!" Agony hung in his voice. "Dongju-ya, why?!"

Dongju couldn't see him in this state. Falling onto the bed, he engulfed him into a hug, hoping to somehow ease his pain.

"Geonhakie..."

He rubbed his back as Geonhak continued to let out all his emotions as once. All his pent up anger and sadness.

Geonhak didn't realise when he had fallen asleep in Dongju's arms. He slowly shifted from his hold, making sure not to wake him up.

Eyes half shut, he hung his head, recalling his dreams. Well, to be precise memories.

He had been with him.

Overnight, his misery had turned into his muse.

He kicked through the mess on his floor, taking his seat near the desk and took hold of his blunt pencil, scribbling furiously.

Writing the song in one sitting, he immediately sent it over to his partner. He didn't need to revise anything. He knew it would be good.

Almost instantly his phone began to ring. Sliding his finger across the screen, he put it to his ear.

"Hello?"

"Hakie-ya..."

Silence, not knowing what to say next.

"Who did you write this song for?"

Only one person had read his lyrics so far, other than him.

A sad smirk formed in his face. "You want to know something? The lyrics for the song came to me really easily." He paused for a second, feeling his voice become shaky. A tear slid down his cheek.

"Thank you, Youngjo. Thank you for helping me write this song."

I was a little unsure before publishing this one, being a sad one and all...but still hope you liked it...
