Jack (Zahi)
Callum took us straight to the bar end of the restaurant, knowing full well we weren't going to get served. I followed behind sluggishly, for some reason it felt wrong to be here. I looked around the bar, looking for whatever made the place feel wrong. Focusing on a family just taking a seat just 10 feet away. The mother, her cropped brown hair and kind eyes taking in the environment. The father was talking to their only son, his floppy blonde hair covering his eyes. The girl is the one who had caught my attention. She looked nothing like either of her parents, not even a small blemish oh her skin to say they were related. Her long white hair hung down to her waist in loose ringlets.
I turned away, knowing there was no way I'd pluck up the courage to talk to her. I looked down at my Garnet wristband, fiddling with the strap.
"Mate!!! What you doing?" Callum shouted from the other end. I shook my head and walked outside.
Hannah (Astrid)
What was I doing here?? How is this a surprise??
"Hannah hunni, just be happy for once." Mum whispered
"Why did you bring us here? There's a bunch of drunk pervs staring at me!!" I muttered
"Han ..."
"No don't 'Han' me! You know I don't like places like this, now if you don't mind I'm going to wait outside." I stormed out, making sure I didn't make any eye contact.
When I got outside I ran, there was a forest just on the border of the restaurant. Not knowing where I was going I stopped short of the cliff. I fell to my knee's breathing heavily.
Someone was following me; thinking it was my brother I shouted, "Piss off Jacob!! I'm not in the mood!"
"Erm sorry to disappoint ... My names Jack." A boy whispered, clearly thinking I was suicidal.
"Hannah ... dude seriously I'm not going to jump, you can stop creeping!" he smiled, standing up straight and walking towards me, taking a seat when he got closer.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to assume ..."
"It's okay, I'm more of a attention seeker. If I was to kill myself I'd jump off a tower in the city centre." Keeping a serious face I looked up at him, trying not to laugh when he went completely white.
"Right ... erm ... right ..." he stumbled, looking for something to say.
"Jack ... I'm kidding!!" I smiled, he was easier to lead that Zak was. His black hair falling over his green eyes as he laughed, I eyed up his wristband.
"Hey, you have a Garnet gem like me." I pulled my necklace from around my neck ad put it next to his. "Where'd you get it?"
"I'm not sure, I've had it since I was a baby. Mum and dad said my birth parents gave it to me before they gave me away."
"Your adopted?" keeping my eyes locked with his. He nodded slowly.
"I've gotten over it, they don't even know my old surname so I had no chance of ever finding them." He shrugged, I placed my hand on top of his and squeezed.
"Sometimes I feel like that, like I don't belong." I whispered
Jack (Zahi)
We sat at the cliff for what seemed like ages. She never did take her hand away, but it wasn't in the way like she fancied me. It was more ... sisterly. We chatted about our families and what school we went to, all sorts of random rubbish that didn't really matter.
"Well my mate Callum, he tries to make me go on dates with him. To make him look better or something ... I dunno. It's bloody awkward though."
"Oh gawd I'd hate it if Zak's mate came on a date with us! I'd end up walking out."
"Yeah, normally the girl does that on his dates ... he's never so lucky with girls." I laughed.
"Well I'm sure he'll find someone."
"Hopefully, he's annoying me all the time!!"
Kyle (Jaser)
Bellona hadn't stopped fidgeting since Zahi and Astrid had left. She kept twiddling her locket, hoping to find some peace.
"I need to follow them!"
"Calm down Felicity, the food will be here in a minute."
"How can you be so calm?" she spat
"We have to be to calm to make sure everything goes to plan."
