here are some season 1 Jaime headcanons bc he's my bby
• he was like a typical boy, he thought he was as good and experienced as his father
• he'd often just walk around in the woods and hunt or scout because Daryl and Merle were also gone
• he wasn't scared of the walkers, and he brought home a deer once.
• Daryl was proud of him for that
• He's protective of 11 year old Cassi and 4 year old Charlie
• Jaime is 14 at the start
• he's so charming and charismatic oml
• Carol absolutely adores him
• she can't really act on it though because Ed is an asshole
• hell they all adore Jaime
• why wouldn't you
• Cassi would wake up and see Jaime and Charlie both asleep
• Amy would knock on their tent door everyday to check on the kids
• Cassi would tell her everything was fine, and she'd go out
• Jaime has to take Charlie everywhere with him bc Daryl is usually gone hunting with Merle
• When Jaime is at camp still, he'll read his comics, he has a lot of them
• sometimes he'll read them out loud to Cassi and Charlie, and I mean like, saying all the words, acting it out sometimes for their entertainment, saying "pow" and "oof" with a lot of enthusiasm whenever words like that came up
• he and Charlie ran off in the woods
• they never made it back to camp before the group left
• they came back two days after the group left, and found nothing but a note on the ground, held in place by a rock.
• it was from Rick, and it said, "we had no other choice but to leave, we are heading in the direction of the CDC, be safe, and head that way. - Rick Grimes"
• Jaime didn't cry or anything
• he just grabbed Charlie and ran for the road
