Love Game [Rantaro x Reader]

Chapter 3

The robotic little bear creatures revealed themselves as the Monokubs. Rantaro kept anxiously looking back at Shuichi while the Monokubs all introduced themselves. The smaller boy already looked like he was about to have a panic attack, and now with these random robots all over the place, it really didn't help his situation.

"Whatever, Monokid! I will make the announcement", the red looking bear screamed as he turned to the people in front of him. "You guys are now officially taking part in a killing game!!", he announced with a proud voice. Rantaro could feel his heart sink when Shuichi grabbed onto his shirt on the back. "Ki... Killing game...", Shuichi mumbled behind Rantaros back. The green haired boy pulled him into a hug while keeping steady eye contact with Monotaro.

"Hey wh- who said we will just participate in something like that??", the boy with weird spikey and purple hair screamed. "Yeah! We won't just randomly kill each other!", the blonde girl from before stepped in.

If it couldn't get any worse, another bear looking like creature appeared in front of them. This one is bigger than the Monokubs and calls himself, Monokuma. "Pupupupupu~ I am afraid you don't have much of a choice Kaede!", Monokuma let out a scary giggle. Kaede took a step back, clearly taken back by the fact that he knew her name. "You see kids... If no one wants to participate at free will, I will find a way to get you all to participate with force!", he giggled again. The small purple boy took a step closer to Monokuma with a sinister look on his face. "Oh? And how is that Monokuma? How will you force us to just kill an innocent person?" The robotic bear slightly tilted his head while looking at Kokichi.

"Hmmm if no one dies in the next 2 days... Everyone in this room will die! How does that sound?", Monokuma announced. The girl with white hair let out a gasp. "Oh my, you will just kill us all?" With a loud laugh, the bear nooded his head. "Oh yes yes dear Angie! Every single one of you dies. So either one of you kills someone, or all of you can go to the afterlife together!"

Everyone was standing silently in the room after the robotic bears left with their huge machines. Kaede was the first one to break this silence. "Guys we need to find a way out of here. I am sure we can find one so that no one of us has to die!", she tried to sound confident but Rantaro could hear her voice crack from fear.

"Kaede, I appreciate your bravery but do you really think that these bears kidnapped us to play a killing game in this huge place, just for them to leave an exit somewhere open so that we can escape? This looks like a very well thought out operation, I mean look how many they kidnapped of us!", Y/N spoke up. The blonde girl almost looked offended when Y/N said that.

"Well we... We should at least try! I mean what do you plan on doing?? Just go ahead and kill one of us?", her voice was shaky. Rantaro pulled Shuichi a bit closer again and rubbed his back, in an attempt to keep him calm. Y/N made eye contact with him Rantaro as she took a deep breath. "I don't plan on killing anyone, but are you sure that everyone else here agrees? I mean it's either one or all of us. No one here wants to die."

Everyone decided to split up for the time being and investigate this place that they were trapped in. Only Y/N, Rantaro and Shuichi were left behind. Y/N walked up to the two boys. "Hey is everything alright with you two?", she asked while looking Shuichi up and down. The boy was still gripping onto Rantaros shirt while shaking intensely. "... No. Y/N? Could you help me find a place for Shuichi where he could lay down and calm down? You know... Somewhere 'safer'.", the green haired boy slowly let go of Shuichi.

The three of them managed to find a hallway full of doors. Next to every door was a small portrait of every single student that was in the big hall before. Thanks to that, they quickly found Shuichis room. The dark looking boy was still shaking intensely as he sat down on the bed in his room. Y/N stayed at the door while Rantaro sat down next to Shuichi. "Stay with him for the time being and watch over him. I think... You're the best person to be with him right now. I'll go find my room. Would you mind visiting me in there later?", Y/N mumbled while looking down at the floor.

Rantaro nooded:"Of course, I'll see you later then!" Y/N smiled and quickly left the room. Now it was only Shuichi and Rantaro. The smaller boy got a bit closer to Rantaro now that Y/N left. "I am... Scared.", he whispered. The taller boy pulled Shuichi into a loving hug. "I know you are... I am too" He could feel Shuichis heart racing. "... I don't trust anyone besides you... I know we only just met but you seem so sweet and... You really help me to calm down a bit...", Shuichi pulled Rantaro closer to him as he said that.

Amami gave Shuichi a headpat. He would be lying to himself if he said that he didn't trust Shuichi. His instincts are telling him that Shuichi is a good person with a pure heart. Rantaro also took a liking to Kokichi, even though he seemed like a jerk, he could feel that his intentions are also good. And then there was Y/N, Rantaro hasn't had much of a chance to get to know her yet but he knew she was also a good person. Weird thing was though, he didn't feel like protecting Y/N like a sibling, unlike he did with Kokichi and Shuichi. No he felt some different attraction towards her but he couldn't quite figure out what that could be.

Before Rantaro could think more about it, Shuichi pulled him back into reality by sitting on top of Rantaros lap while facing him. This took Amami by surprise and he kind of fell back on the bed. Now Shuichi was on top of him with a very red face. "Wha- I am sorry did I startle you Amami? Ah I didn't mean to! I just thought it would be more comfy to sit that way, I am sorry!!", the boy in top started to apologize.

Now if Shuichi climbing on top of Rantaro didn't startle him, the fact that he just used his first name, sure did. Normally you don't use someone first name unless you are very close or... Lovers.
