"Where am I?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. "You're in the hospital wing dear," Madam Pomfrey said, rushing in with a glass of water. "You have quite a lot of visitors dear," she said, giving me some medication. "Let one of them in please," I said, rubbing my sore and achey hands. "If you will," Madam Pomfrey said before leaving, only to be coming back with Mia.
"You're awake! Thank god," Mia exclaimed. "What happened?" I asked her, wanting to know. "Well, you went to your room and passed out and Draco found you because of the magic in the necklace and then we called for help and you ended up here and Draco didn't leave your side," she said, all too fast for me to take in. "Where is he now?" I asked, wanting to see him. "In Dumbledore's office," Mia said, turning her face around. "Mia, why would he be in Dumbledore's office?" "Because he would tell of what Umbridge has done to you!" "Why?!" I said, getting tense. "M, you nearly died! Merlin's beard what else could you have expected!" "You told him didn't you!" I yelled at her! I had only told Draco a bit. But I had told all the details to Mia. "Mia how could you?! I trusted you!" I said, chocking on my words. "Get out!" I said, looking at her tearful eyes. She simply nodded, and left the room, only for Draco to come in.
"What's happened in here," he asks, before I ask for him to come next to me. "I'm happy you're here," I say, semi-smiling. "I didn't think you'd live," he said, sitting next to me on my bed. "I've been excused from classes for a week to take care of you!" he exclaims proudly. I pull him in to give him a big giant hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you," I whispered into his ear, on the verge of tears. I love him. I hope he's the one.
I wake up, cuddled into Draco's chest, him breathing peacefully. I was glad to be with him. Maybe all these years, he just needed to be loved. Maybe he was never a bad sport or mean or any of that. Maybe he was just trying to be friends with Harry. My thought's were interrupted by a tug on the curtain.
"Am I interrupting anything?" I heard a small fragile voice say behind the curtain. "No, come in. Please be quite," I say, not wanting to wake Draco up. "Madi!" Ginny exclaimed in whispers. "You're okay!" she said behind sobs. "Woah woah woah what in Merlin's beard did I miss? You're talking to me?" I asked, genuinely confused. "Life's too short. You never know when you're going to lose someone," she said, making me tear up. I wiggle out of Draco's grasp on my waist, and pull Ginny into a hug. "I'm sorry," I say to her, bawling my eyes out. "For what?" she asks, looking at me. "For whatever I did to you for you to hate me," I said, letting out a sob, making Draco move. "I don't hate you!" Ginny exclaimed as she hugs me tighter. "I'm really upset that you won't get to come home for Christmas," Ginny said, looking at me with sorrowful eyes. "Wait, you can't go home?" I heard a half asleep Draco behind me. "My mother... basically disowned me. "Ginny, if you will excuse us," Malfoy begins, sitting up straight. She turns around, giving me one quick smile and then walking away.
"Why don't you spend Christmas at the Manor and you can meet my parents?" he asks me so sincerly that I can't say no. Memories flood my head from times where Lucius Malfoy was being called out for being a death eater. "I don't know...," I said, putting my head on his shoulder. "Well, if you don't want to come, than I won't go home for the holidays either," he said, making my heart melt. "awwwhhh you don't need to do that," I said, feeling guilty. "I'll come the Manor with you!" I said, feeling a rush of excitement, and earning myself a kiss from Draco. "It'll be alright," I told myself, reassuringly. Hopefully nothing will go wrong. Besides, Christmas is still ages away.
"Good evening students," I heard from behind the curtain again. "Mr. Malfoy, what a surprise to see you here?" I heard a voice that no doubtbly belonged to Delores Umbridge. "If you don't mind Mr. Malfoy, I'd like to talk to Miss. Weasley in private". she said, recieveinga glare from Draco before he walked off. "Now dear, you've already told Professor Dumbledore about your little incident!" she exclaimed, giving that fake smile like usual. "Now, if anyone else finds out, the Ministry of Magic shall have you expelled from Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizadry, and no doubt, everyone else you hold close. Insulting me is insulting the ministry, dear. If I were you, I'd be careful. You're actions have rewarded yourself a 2 week detention with Professor Snape, and 20 points from Slytherin," she snickered making me flinch. "I"ll be seeing you tomorrow in class then," she says walking away. "Actually, Professor Umbridge?" I asked, but she simply ignored me. "Nevermind," I muttered to myself, as Draco came back in the room.
"What did she say?" he asked me as he sat down next to me, cuddled up. "Nothing. We just lost 20 points," I explained the situation to him. "I wish you hadn't told him," I said, laying my head on his shoulder. "She's just cruel," he said, shrugging his shoulders. "Aren't you going to go back to your room?" I ask him, as he sits up. "No, I'd rather be here with you," he says, making me blush. "Mia's really upset about your arguement you know," he started, making me sigh. "I don't care," I said, obviously lying. "I hope you didn't make a wrong choice," he says smiling at me. I hope so too I say to myself. "It'll be your birthday soon," he says, reminding me that I'd be 16 finally. "It's on the eighth of July right?" he asks nervously, not trying to mess the date up. "Yes," I say, smiling at him. I kiss his cheek before snuggling up under the blanket, with Draco's hands hugging my waist. I pray to lord that nothing ever happens to him. He's my happiness.
