Emily was happy. Everyone at work could see it. She was always cheerful in general. But now, she was glowing.

Her and Kai's relationship kept getting better and better. She had officially met his siblings, and she felt like she truly had a family.

Emily was constantly over at their house; she loved the feeling of taking care of people once again. She felt lost when her grandparents died, but when she was able to cook for more than one person, or help clean the house, it made her feel amazing.

Kai insisted that she didn't have to do any of it, but she offered and insisted. Winter loved having Emily around, with everything going on, it felt like she finally had someone to talk to. She could talk about her relationship with Ivy because Emily didn't know any of the problems or anything that was happening.

It felt like a breath of fresh air for everyone having her around.

Kai made sure to keep Emily away from all cult and political activity.

In his eyes, she was perfect. Innocent.

He didn't want to taint her with the burdens of the things he was doing. He was cleansing the world for her, but he refused to involve her. All of the cult members knew not to mention anything about the plans or cult things around Emily. If they happened to run into her, they were to treat her with the most utmost respect.

If these rules were broken, it would result in some type of punishment and no one wanted that. Emily never bothered Kai or his friends when he was in his meetings in the basement. She would wait upstairs and watch tv, read a book, clean, or cook while he was busy. She didn't mind waiting, she just wanted Kai to be happy like how he made her happy.

One day, Emily was preparing for her next appointment, she had just swept and was cleaning her brushes when her client walked in. She smiled widely when she saw her handsome boyfriend walk in.

He walked over to her and hugged her tightly, he let go of the hug and pecked her lips. "Hi cutie. I brought you something." He showed her the bouquet of flowers,

"Think ya can tell me what they mean?" He teased as he went to sit in her styling chair. She looked closely at them.

"Hmmmm are these.... Bellflowers?" She gasped. Kai smiled widely; he knew she would figure it out. She set the flowers down on the counter, alongside the hair products.

"Yes ma'am," he leans forward to kiss her addicting lips, "Unrequited love."

"I love them." She smiles and eskimo kisses him.

"Now. Did you come just to bring me those flowers, or are you finally going to let me do your hair?"

"Oh baby, of course. You're the only one that can touch these locks. I need to look good for my little lady. Plus, were going on a double date tonight." She lifts her eyebrows and wraps her cover around his neck.

"Really? With who?" She questions as she starts to brush out his hair tenderly.

"Harrison, and his wife Meadow."

"Harrison? Like the Harrison who filmed that video?"

Kai nodded. "Yeah, we've become really good friends, and we'd though it be fun if we all went out tonight."

Emily nods, "Alright. Sounds fun!"

She walks away to get the supplies to touch up his roots.

Kai watches her from the mirror, hoping she would accept his followers. He wanted to ease her into everything, he didn't want to completely lie to her anymore.
