Adoration

    After all the craziness with Kai, Ally, and Ivy, there was a small amount of peace in the Anderson household, and Emily could not be more relieved.

They had made up after the incident with Oz, Emily grew tired of his apologies and pleadings and eventually forgave him.

He made sure to give her extra attention after that, which made the excessive vomiting even more difficult to hide, but she really didn't mind the attention.

He was always so angry, stressed, and paranoid when he wasn't with her, so they both cherished the small time they had together.

Emily had noticed this and tried to calm him down. No matter how much he scared her.

One sense of comfort for Emily, was the fact that Ally had been hanging around the house more. The two women had become great friends, and Emily was happy she could finally be friends with someone from FIT.

She could tell Ally was reluctant at first to befriend the girl, in fear that she was as evil and messed up as Kai, but after Emily invited her to go to lunch, and confided in Ally about her pregnancy, Ally realized how sheltered and genuine the girl really was.

She was determined to not only get her an Oz out of the Cult, but to get Emily away from Kai. Emily struggled immensely trying to hide the pregnancy symptoms from Kai, she wanted to wait, to surprise him. Ally was a great help to Emily, helping her with the sickness and covering for her when she went to her first doctor's appointment to confirm the pregnancy.

Emily knew that she would have to eventually tell him, so she chose this day specifically, because it was his birthday.

Emily awoke to the sun peeking through the blinds and looked over at a sleeping Kai.

She smiled softly looking at him. He looked so relaxed in his sleep, she quietly slipped out of the bed, and went to grab the wrapped gift that she had hidden in the back corner of their closet. She slid back into the bed with the box.

The motion of the bed moving cause Kai to groan, and blindly move over to lay his head in Emily's lap, eyes still closed.

"Good morning sleepyhead. How'd you sleep?" Emily asked, while combing a hand through his blue locks. He groaned once more, before turning his head to the side to look up at her.

He smiled slightly and pecked her hand that was still laying on his head. He remained silent, still trying to wake up. Emily bent over and kissed his head.

"Happy Birthday baby!" She put the box in his eyesight and he slowly got up, leaning back against the headboard.

"It's my birthday? Wow, I had no idea." He said in his still-sleepy voice.

Emily nodded and smiled widely at him, holding out the small box, she knew he would be happy, but there was still a part of her that was terrified. He looked at her adoringly, his love had not only remembered his birthday, but had gotten him a present.

He took the box from Emily's small hands and slid the top of the wrapped box. His eyebrows furrowed, but his eyes got wide and he took a deep breath. He grabbed the two small white sticks, glancing between the tests and Emily.

"I-is this...?"

Emily nodded, happy tears in her eyes. "Yes Kai. I'm pregnant."

He dropped the things in his hand, hugged his girl tightly, and began to sob into her shoulder. "I'm going to be a fucking dad! My messiah baby. We made a messiah baby Emmy."

Kai was in complete shock.

Was this really happened? He would have the love of his life by his side, their Savior, and control of the government. He felt like everything was finally falling into place, and he knew what he had to do to get there.

Little did they know, everything was about to crumble before their very eyes.
