New Day,New Guy

"Eve get up!"

"Hmmm....."

"Eve get up we'll be late!"

"Shut up Cal.."

"God Eve!Final warning -get up or.."

"Get a life Cal.."

SPLASH!!!Cold water fell on my face,drenching my hair and top.I woke up with a start.

"What the hell Cal!! Is this the way you wake somebody up!By drowning them in ice-cold water!",I scowled.

"It was just a glass.Now hurry up,or I'll throw you in the shower."

Cal winked at me and left.My brother Cal was the biggest idiot on this planet.He was actually my twin,older than me by 7minutes.But that didn't stop him from playing older brother all the time-bullying me,bossing me around and threatening guys who ask me out.

Sighing I dragged myself to the bathroom. I certainly was not a morning person -my blonde hair looked like hay,my eyes were puffy and I had a line of drool. Joy.

I showered and stood in front of my closet. First day of senior year-I have to look perfect. 10 minutes went by and I still hadn't chosen an outfit .

"How long does it take to put some damn clothes on Eve!!",Caleb shouted.

"Hold on!!"I shouted back.

"I'm leaving in 10.You can walk to school after that!"

Grumbling,I put on a pair of jean shorts and a blue tank top.Throwing a full-sleeved white crop top over it,I put on my black converse and ran downstairs. Caleb was waiting near the door,key in hand.I grabbed a granola bar and left the house.

"I want to drive."I announced.

"No."He shrugged.

"But why?.."I whined.

"You're my baby sister."He said in a sing-song voice.

"Remind me why I haven't killed you yet",I muttered, getting in the passenger's side.

"Because you loooove me."He laughed, starting the car.

I shook my head and managed a small smile. I did love him-more than anything else. He's all I had.

I walked inside the school and heard a shrieking "EVE!!!!!!".Closing my eyes,I prepared myself for a bone-crushing hug.Soon enough I got one-Crystal. "Hey Crys. "I smiled.

Crystal Ash was my best friend -the typical nerd.She was petite,with light brown hair and a cute face.Glasses dont look good on some people but Crystal -they added sass to her overall cute demeanor. Crystal was a freaking genius -I mean, I wasnt a bad student myself but Crystal -everybody knew she would graduate as the class valedictorian-and the year hasn't even started.

"Eh..I hate to be the one to break into your daydream but you need to get to class.Like,now."Crys's voice stopped my train of thought.

"Shit."I ran.

I didnt have any more classes with Crys that day until English. I walked in and sat at the empty desk beside Crys.I was barely seated when Crys hissed, "Have you seen the new guy?"

"Uhh..no",I haven't.It was my first day and I was tired,not to mention sleep-deprived.

"He is soo hot!!"Crys whispered.

I rolled my eyes.Crys found a lot of people hot -I used to pay attention to her choices until she declared Caleb was hot.Ugh..just ugh!!

"OMG he's here!!"she nudged me.

I looked up to see the figure standing at the door. OH MY GOD!..He was tall and lean. His white t-shirt gripped to his chest showing off his well-defined muscles.Olive skin tone with jet-black hair.

He looked around for an available seat. There was one at the last row and he walked off towards it but not before glancing in my direction -his brown eyes were like pools of chocolate..what was wrong with me!..I looked down and was about to talk to Crys when the teacher-Mrs Reese walked in.The entire period I felt eyes on my back and something told me it was new guy.Once our eyes met-those melting pools of chocolate held my gaze until I looked away.

I had History next. Another class without Crys. I walked in to find I was early. I looked around for a seat until my eyes fell on him.There was an empty desk beside him. A lot of students were looking towards it but not taking it. Maybe our new gorgeous stranger was too intimidating?

Before I could chicken out I walked boldly towards it.

"Is this seat taken? "He shook his head.

"Mind if I sit here?''He shrugged.

"Hi!"I greeted cheerfully while sitting down .He merely nodded.

"I'm Eve.I mean,I'm not Eve!".He raised an eyebrow. Shit.Why the hell am I nervous?

"I mean,I'm Evelyn.You can call me Eve.My friends call me Eve.Not that you and I are friends, but we can be..u know..just..are you new? "..And that is how you royally make a fool of yourself. I mentally kicked myself.

It was as if I hadn't spoken,or he never heard me, or didn't bother replying. Embarrassed, I looked in front.

The teacher had walked in.I closed my eyes.New guy probably thinks I'm crazy. Way to go,Eve!!

Suddenly I heard a deep voice.
"Yeah I'm new."New Guy muttered. I looked at him."I'm Jared. "

I sighed. Jared.

I'm gonna have fabulous dreams tonight.
