I didn't get a chance to speak to Jared again that day.After the bell,he left abruptly.

Seriously, rude much?

I was getting my stuff together when there was a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see April. April Holt-Captain of the Cheer Team and my friend. She had golden blonde shoulder length hair and a pretty face.People often say we look alike -huh,not to me we don't.

"Hey babe!Why aren't you in practice? "

Shit. We had cheer practice.

"Umm..why aren't you?"I smirked.

She giggled :"Ok Smarty-Pants!I'm late as well. "

She linked her arm through mine and together we left the room.

We had a thorough practice and afterwards April dropped me home.

Caleb was still out.He had football practice and after that he worked at the local pizza joint. He didn't have to-as I kept telling him.Our parents have left us enough money to get through till college but he said he wanted to.

Great place to pick up girls.

Jerk.

I changed and sat with my homework. It was pure torture. Isn't it just the first day?

I was almost done when I heard a car.Caleb was home.I ran down.

"Hey Sis!!"he said, hugging me.

"Aargh..you stink!Jerk! "

Caleb rolled his eyes."I brought dinner. "

"Pizza,really? We need to start eating healthy Cal!"

"Yeah but I cant cook everyday -school, practice, work .."

"So I'll cook!" I chirped happily.

"Nah we have one house. Can't let u burn it down." He shrugged.

I threw a cushion at him.

I was running through the forest. Panting -fighting for each breath.
"Keep running Evie! " Mom.
I turned around.There was no one in sight.
"Run, Evie run!" Dad.
I stopped again. I needed to find them.I needed to find mom,needed to find dad.
"Dad!Mom! ..Dad,where are you?Mom, I cant see you Mom!"I shouted.
I stopped running. I just heard them. They have to be here,right?
"There you are Doll!"I looked up.A shadowy figure was moving towards me.
"Its alright Doll!I know where your Mom and Dad is.Come to me,Doll."
I took one step forward and then heard a whisper in my head."Dont Evie! "
I stopped.
"Run."The same voice whispered.
"Run Evie run!"That same voice again.
I ran.
I could still here the shadowy figure yelling :You cant run from me Doll.Im coming to get you!

I woke up with a start.

I'm coming to get you.

That voice -so real.I reminded myself that it was a nightmare. I checked my phone -3AM.I lied down again.

I'm coming to get you.

That night,I couldn't fall asleep again.

At 7AM I went down.Caleb was up and ready.

"Good Morning! "He smiled.

I nodded :"When are we leaving? "

"Soon-ish.You're up early today! Are you sick or something? "He laughed.

"Yeah.."I muttered.

"What?No sarcastic retort today? "

I shrugged.

"Eve,are you alright? "He sounded concerned.

"Yeah I just.I had a bad dream. "

"A bad dream?Are you having nightmares again Eve?"

"No..Just this..Can u let it go Cal?"

He nodded and we left.

"Eve!Hello! Earth to Eve!" Crys shook me by my shoulders.

I had zoned out.Again.Almost half the day has passed and I was still thinking about that dream.

It was lunch. Crys and I were sitting at our usual table. April was also there -along with Mia,Megan,Sally and Tania from the Cheer Team.Cry's Book Club buddies Andrew, Will and Jenna were there as well .Together we made a great team -with the occasional jocks flitting in and out.

"Hot guy alert!"April mouthed at me.

And there he was:Jared-what was his last name-standing at the cafeteria door in all his glory. He walked past our table and walked towards the counter.He sat with his tray at a corner table.

"Ok people. Hot guy is alone.Wish me luck."April stood up.Running a hand through her hair,she walked towards his table.

I froze at my spot. What the hell!

I was openly gawking at them now.April stood leaning at his table,her hand slightly touching his upper arm-a pang of jealousy shot through me.I was about to walk away when I saw Jared stand up and leave.

April stood dumbfounded. I coudn't help but secretly smirk. So whatever she blatantly suggested didn't work.

The week passed by. I had the same dream.Every.Single. Night.I was becoming jumpy-so much that Caleb noticed. Even Crys thought something was wrong.

How could I tell them?How could I tell them I've been seeing my parents again.I didn't want to go back to that shrink.And that voice -that creepy voice that kept ringing in my ears..A sharp nudge at my elbow brought me back to my senses.

I was sitting in History -and the great Jared Whatever was looking at me with a confused expression.

"What?"I asked.

"A pencil.I've been asking for a minute. Which zone are you in?"

"Uhh.."I stared.

"You ok?"He asked.

"Yeah.I'm just tired.I've been having bad nights. "

Really. Really bad nights.
