It is two weeks ever since Mark opened up to Lillie. Things have not been the same ever since, she dodges him around and even her friends too. Comes early at school and leaves early. Always at home, not hanging out with anyone. Class time is over and she's heading to her car, unfortunately, she has been ambushed by all of them, Molly, Milly, Fred, Wilson, except from Mark. They are all leaning towards her car waiting for her to come.
"Now ma'am, tell us what's up with you" Milly says.
"You're dodging us, it's been two weeks now. We are worried, please tell us" Molly pleads.
"You are one hell of a woman. How can you run away from your friends" Fred says.
"Fine, fine. You've got me. Am now yours" Lillie replies.
"All we need is a chat about what is going on with you" Wilson says.
"Are we gonna talk from here" Lillie asks.
"Meet you at TORI'S dinner , at exactly 6pm. Dare be late" Milly says. They all head to their cars and drive off.
Lillie first heads at home and takes a shower, then talks to her mom;
"Mom, I have an appointment at TORI'S dinner. Am gonna head out and will be back before..."
"8pm. Be back before 8pm and come back safe."
"Thanks Mom"
"Make sure you don't get high"
"Am walking today by the way"
"Fine. Just come back safe."
Lillie gets out and starts to walk to the dinner. The rest of the crew is already aboard, including Mark.
"I thought you were not coming" Milly says.
"Well, here I am. Hi Mark!"
"Hi. How have you been lately?"
"Fine. I've been fine"
The four see these two talking and they look at each other;
"What's up with you two" Fred asks.
"With who and who?'
Mark asks
"You and Lillie. We invited you guys here but it seems you talking to each other, only"
"It's because you are also talking to each other. You are talking to Molly, Wilson is talking to Milly, so I talk to Lillie"
"Fine, couple time is over. Time for Lillie to tell us what is wrong with her" Milly says
Mark and Lillie look at each other and the latter says;
"I was not fitting in anymore. You guys are couples to each other. Molly dating Fred, Wilson dating Milly. Am the single one around here"
"Mark is also single but he hangs out with us. That's not an excuse" Fred says.
"Am really sorry. I'll never run away again" Lillie says.
"For your information, am trying to get a girl" Mark says.
"Who is she? " Wilson asks.
"I'll tell you guys when things are settled between us. Right now, I can't"
"Ok how does she look" Milly asks.
"She is beautiful. I hated her at first because she had rejected me before, but then the more I hated her, the more my feelings for her develop"
