A DARE'S FAULT

FINALLY, THE TRIPLE DATE...

     It's Sunday evening and the six friends are sitting at TORI'S dinner, having a conversation with each other.

     "So, when you met her parents, didn't you tremble?" Wilson asks Mark.
 
     "Actually, I first got scared. Most especially of her dad, but he proved cooler than I thought. He's just protective of her"

     "Lillie, you are know you are loved" Fred says

     "And am lucky you guys are one of those who love me. Am lucky am loved by all of you" she picks up a tot. "To your love for me"

     They all pick their tots and shout; "To our love for you"

    "And how did your Friday go" Wilson asks. Mark and Lilly look at each other and smile.
    
     "I guess it went well" Molly says.

     "You mean it's obvious?" Lillie says.

     "Your smiles are an exhibit of it". They all burst into laughter.

    "Lillie and I went to a movie that night. We watched a horrific movie, but she was almost running out of the theatre"

     "The movie was not scary". She tries to defend herself.

     "Then explain your behavior" Lillie says.

     "It was disgusting. How can someone peel off your skin and forces you to eat it, raw"

     "I should have done the same, trust me" Milly says.

     "I'll take you to a movie next Friday" Wilson whispers to her

     "Am not scared of horrific movies. I love them, they teach me how to torture creeps" Lillie puts a fry into her mouth. They all look at her;
  
     "Are you sure" Mark asks.

    "You're scared. I was fucking with you. What do you take me for?"

     "My lovely girlfriend"

     "Milly and will,where were you Friday night" Fred asks her latter.

    "We went for some ice cream and walked around town." He replies.

     "It was fun" Milly adds.

     "I want some ice cream too. Can we go get some" Molly suggests.

    "By the way. That's a good idea" Lillie says.

     They all get up and hit the road, they walk around, touring and trying to admire the town.
 
     "Should I carry you on my back, because for sure I would be happy to" Mark asks Lillie.

     "No, you should... " Mark carries her even before she could approve of it. "Not."

    "I have already done so. Where should I take you?" He asks.

     "The fountain. I want to pray for something" she replies. "The others are there too".

     Mark walks to the fountain with Lillie on her back. They find their friends already there.

     "You guys are already here." He wonders.

    "We also have requests to make." Fred replies.

    They all turn around and keep silent for a moment, with pennies in their palms. After a few seconds, they all drop their pennies into the water.

    "What did ask for?" Lillie asks Mark.

     "I prayed you could never leave me. How about you?"

    "I prayed we could be together until the end of time, but also thanked that I went to that school, that you knocked me, because maybe if you had not knocked me, I would have not hated you to  fall in love with you."

    "Wow! Thank you so much for your prayers" he says. "Now, I think we can head for ice cream"

     "Of course. Only if you catch me" Lillie runs off.

    "Dude, she's great" Fred says.

    "Have you found out now?" Milly asks. "I think you should go after her" she tells Mark.

    "Oh, by the way" he runs off, trying to catch up on Lillie.

    "They are adorable. One may think they never resented each other" Wilson says. "But we are even more adorable," he tilts Milly's face to his and kisses her.

    Fred pulls Molly by her waist, making their bodies one and says;

    "I also have her, so don't think you guys are the only lucky ones. She's am angel on Earth. Am so lucky I broke up with the other aliens because I would have never got her. If you may excuse us, we have ice cream to eat" the two walk away, holding each other's waists.

     "Wait for us. We are also heading that way" Wilson and Milly walk so fast to meet up with Fred and Molly.

    Mark is still looking for Lillie but she's nowhere to be seen. He walks to the ice cream area and finds the two couples;

     "Have you seen her?" Molly asks.

    "No, I didn't" he replies.

    "You should have hurried up the moment she ran off." Fred says.

    As Mark looks at the ice cream machine, he feels someone jumping on his back; it is Lillie.

    "I thought you are good at hide and seek, but it seems you missed the stage" she says.

    "He was good at hiding but not good at seeking. We could hide for hours, waiting for him to find us but he could not. We always got out of our hiding places and found him playing with his trains." Wilson narrates.

    "Too bad" Lillie gets off his back. "If he didn't seek for you, he will learn from me" she pecks his chick.

    The three couples order for ice cream.

    Their love was built on hatred. Their future was built on their past. Their evening was was spent together. As couples, as friends.
