I got to know him more

I immediately ran towards him worried, but not surprised. It wasn't a surprise for me that I found him in this situation. I wasn't surprised, shocked or anything, I was just genuinely worried and also so tired of all of this.

He wouldn't ever tell me what this was all about, why he was being treated like this and who the hell does this to him. When he wakes up this time, I'll make sure to not let him get away from me and my questions. We have to take care of this problem. Why doesn't he do anything?

His handsome face has become a canvas for a person bad at drawing. What the hell is wrong with your life Damon?

I didn't lose myself this time and started slapping him from both sides of his face. He wouldn't wake up. I ran back to the party and took a bottle of water from the table and splashed a little bit of water on his face hoping that it would help someway.

Not knowing what to do I went back to slapping him once again. Please, don't judge me, I didn't know what to do and if it didn't work one more time I was surely gonna call an ambulance. As this last slap was my last hope of saving him by myself, it was a pretty strong one and he immediately opened his eyes.

"Ouch Angel! Are you... sure you even... like me? What's with this slap? Were you trying to wake me up or were you trying to finish me off?" he said slightly getting up. I came closer to help him get on hit feet.

"Sorry...Did that hurt a lot? You can actually interpret my slap in another way. You can think that that's how much I wanted you to wake up."

"That interpretation won't work,"he said finally standing up.

"And this time you won't be able to escape my questions. Damon we really need to talk about this. Look at yourself. Look at what happened to you. Those same guys did that to you, didn't they?" I said touching the wound on his face.

"Angel, I actually don't want to talk about it. It's a guy's problem. You don't really have to know about it. Do you think that every guy goes on telling about his fights to his girlfriend?"

"First of all, those guys are stupid. Are you stupid too? Second of all, it's not just a common fight, they keep doing this to you. It's always the same people. And lastly, do you think that you're a weak man if you tell about your secrets to your girlfriend? Don't make me go to the police and tell them about these fights and you know that I'll do it," I said all of this without stopping for a second and looking straight into his eyes.

"Listen angel. Calm down, everything's fine. I just have a couple of problems and I'll take care of them soon. Don't worry about that and just live your life."

"I hope you don't want us to fight over this on the day we are celebrating our reconciliation," I said getting angrier, but still not raising my voice because I still didn't want anyone to know about this. But I also realized that it would be hard as all of his face looked like a child's drawing.

"Angel, we're closing this topic and we're not coming back to it, okay? I don't want to talk about it."

"Okay then, then celebrate our reconciliation alone because I'm going home," were my last words and I turned away from him walking towards the entrance of the hall.

I was already on the stairs when he came after me and caught my arm.

"Okay, okay angel, we'll talk about this, but let's not do it here. Let's go somewhere else."

"Are you really suggesting we leave from our own party?"

"As if you weren't just doing the same seconds ago," he said smiling at me.

I smiled in return and we started laughing together.

"You're right, let's go then, but we have to come back for the cake," I said taking his hand into mine and he nodded silently.
