TWO MORE DAYS

I sat in my bedroom, reflecting on what had happened. Everything had gone in a blur. The training was over. The interviews were tomorrow. I knew which weapon I was looking for... An axe. David used a sword, but he wasn't so good, obviously with being blind. My worries had piled up. I needed to help him. But how could I? I heard a knock on my door.
"Yeah?" The door opened and there was David. He was still wearing his training uniform."What's up?" I asked him. He smiled slightly.
"Nothing. I'm just nervous about the interviews. And the games obviously." He walked over to my bed and sat beside me. Over these past weeks, we'd become great friends. Really close friends. I'd die if I lost him."You seem quiet. What's wrong?" I shrugged.
"Just the same things as you I guess." I sighed though, despite myself."I'm worried. About the hunger games. About....about you." I stopped speaking feeling stupid. He waited for me to continue."I'm scared your going to die. Your blind. You won't be able to see anything." I saw him smile.
"You'll be my eyes." I laughed quietly.
"If I can get to you fast enough." We sat in silence, realising the seriousness of our situation."I don't want to loose you." I said it without thinking. He gave me a sad smile.
"There's no way that both of us can live." He reached out for my hand. I took it. He smiled to himself, his eyes unfocoused, distant."What do you loom like?" I looked at myself in the mirror and described my hair, my eyes, everything. He closed his eyes. He looked like he was thinking.
"You've not changed much have you." I laughed.
"Well I've grown a bit." He smiled again. It was such a beautiful smile.
"I guess we should be practicing our lines."He stood up, and offered ms his hand."You coming?" I nodded.
