Turtle

"So you're telling me, that you're parents barely know you exist?" It seems like Kinkajou was only wondering aloud, not trying to hurt me, so I replied.

"Yep. That pretty much sums it up. My mom thinks that only a daughter can take over the company when she dies. But naturally, she just had to have so many sons. Orca, my older sister, she died. A while back. Tsunami hates mom, with a passion so not her. Anemone is my twin, and is also hating mom at the moment. That leaves Auklet. And she is only 3. Still a while before she can is take over anyway."

"Turtle?" Moon asked. I looked over. We had come to the Outclaw Café after school, where I told them everything.

"Yeah what is it?"

"Why did you wait so long to tell us?"
I looked over at her. Then at Kinkajou. Then Qibli. Then Winter, who we barely convinced to come over. I sighed.

"I don't know. I just, don't. Maybe the same reason you knew where this place was before coming here." She blushed. I knew she would. Even if she did reply,she would say 'I don't know.' So clearly someone had to come to her rescue. 5...4...3...2...1...
"Turtle, she lives 5 minutes away. How do you expect her to not know. That was a little tactless." Winter scolded. Bingo. Well now I have some leverage! Go me!

"And how would you know where she lives, Mr. Stalker."

"Qibli."

"And how would Qibli know."

"Shut it."
Moon started giggling at this. Which triggered Kinkajou's girlish laughter to come out to play. That then triggered Qibli, and then me, until only Winter was left silent.
"What's so funny? Huh? Why is everyone laughing?" This ended with a small laugh which no one had heard before. Which made Kinkajou snort.
"Oh my goodness, that's never happened before! What's wrong with me!" She exclaimed dramatically, pretending to faint in her seat. Except she actually fell off her chair.
"Kink-" Moon smothered her laughter. "Are you ok?" She bounded back up. It seems so.

"This further proves it. Moon is the mom of the group!" Oh no. Kinkajou, why here? Why now?
"I'm the youngest, if anything, Turtle should! He was born in January, right? He is the oldest." They turned their attention to me. "Turtle, you're a mom now." How long can everyone keep a strait face. Qibli's out, Kinkajou's out, Winter is out. Moon's surprisingly good at this. I give her 10 seconds. 5....4....3....2- Yes! I won!!
