"I cannot believe this" My eyes widened as I looked at the scene in front of me unfolding. Charlotte, suspect no.1 was sitting on my seat on my table during lunch.

"Isn't that the girl who gave you the di-" I cut off Ambriel.

"Yeah, she gave me the directions and invited me. But how the fuck did she manage to sit at the popular's table. Much less, on my seat!" I was seething with anger. What the fuck, how can they just replace me with this, this desperate girl!

"C'mon now, Gaston. You are dead, you shouldn't let these things get to you. I told you, a time would come when they will just stop thinking about you altogether. That's how people are, the mourning and sad faces go on for a few days, weeks at most. And then they just move on. Stop letting it affect you" Ambriel put her hand on my shoulder and I looked at her with a sigh releasing from my mouth. She was pitying me. I hated it.

"Y-you are right. I should just let it go. But ... can I just hear what they are talking about?" I smiled sheepishly and asked.

"Gaston" She warned and I rose up my hands in defence.

We moved around a bit, observing the scene. Looking for anything different, suspicious. But everything was same, the teachers, the workers, the student, only difference was I had been forgotten. And it hurt like a bitch.

"This is completely useless. I am done with this." I gave up and sat on the floor of the library. We can't find anything. And why would we ? The deed is done, I am dead, the murderer succeeded. The hustle-bustle is over. Everything is fucking done.

"Hey! Stop being such a, what you people call these days? On right, stop being such a pussy and get up! We have some work to do, and I am not going to let you mope around. We will find that little devil. Then you'll have your peace and I, mine." Ambriel looked at me with anger and my eyes widened. I rarely ever saw her like that. This was something new. Maybe I had underestimated her.

"Well, you just can't s-"

"Shhh !" She suddenly looked at me with wide eyes and confused me.

"Wha- ?"

"Shut up ! There is someone here. I can hear them talking, about you !" Her wide eyes looked at me with alert, excitement and, a sense of fear I guess. I immediately shut up and started to concentrate on voices. Ambriel suddenly started walking towards the voice and I followed her.

We reached a shelf of books which was in the corner and alone, there my hearing became more clear. I could hear a girl and a guy talking.

"But, this-this can't be possible !" I heard a girl's voice, a very familiar voice. I just couldn't put my finger on it. I tried to peak but Ambriel slapped my hand and glared at me. I looked at her as if she was crazy.

"Look, I don't know much but it has got to be him. He has to be the one who killed Gaston. I mean come on, it's obvious. The guy hated his guts, he wanted to be number one in everything and Gaston always stole his spot, Gaston always treated him like a sideline, always controlled him and tried to dominate him. When Gaston once hit on you, you know how mad he got. I even heard something about him and killing. I am sorry but it has gotta be him" The guy accused with determination, everything was still and silent until a loud slap was heard. The girl ran away hurriedly, I tried to get out of hiding and look at her face but Ambriel stopped me under her death grip on my wrist. The guy also soon shortly left and I turned around annoyed to look at Ambriel.

"Are you crazy?! Why didn't you let me see their faces. It would have revealed so much! You were the one who said we needed to do this and what not. And now you were the one stopping me!" I shouted loudly at her and she glared back at me.
