Cause Vikram and Juhi ain't having any sequel any time soon.

A happy ending?

-----

6 months later-

Vikram was having tea with his father in the garden.

The garden was blooming again, why won't it? Afterall, Vikram took care of it now. The grass, the roses, other plants and birds were happy. The garden was his mom's favorite. Taking care of it meant taking her care.

She was convicted and sent to jail for various crimes like abetement to murder, attempt to murder and many more business related frauds.

His father had to pay a hefty fine but Vikram stood by his side through all this.

As for his mother, the stab was her downfall, she had a lifetime of imprisonment ahead.

Vikram always felt guilty for never making things right between them.

But his guilt was lesser than Mr. Raheja's, the man lost his everything after his wife's arrest. He lost his happiness, his hope for a better tomorrow was alive but was feeble without her presence. She is his wife and he failed at fulfilling his vows.

He was dragged out of his thoughts by Vikram's voice,
" Dad, you are thinking that, again?"

He plainly nodded at him.

Vikram sighed, " You know, when I visited her after the arrest. She told me to move on and keep happy memories alive. The past was horrible and she felt guilty for her doings. But the past couldn't be changed, but future can be."

He pressed his father's shoulder, " Dad, mom wants you to be happy. She knew why you couldn't muster courage to show up. She has always loved you and will love you forever. She said, she was very sorry for the moment when she was blinded by the need for revenge, but things couldn't be changed. This doesn't mean you won't smile. She told me to take care of her garden, you know why? Because, she knows you'll spend your time here, feeling her presence by your side. She said, if we both will be happy, genuinely, then we should visit her at that once, to give her ultimate peace. Can you do that?"

Mr. Raheja had tears in his eyes, he nodded at his son and caressed his head, " I can."

" Dad, you have become a softie after that accident." Vikram chuckled. " Give me my stern old man back."

" You don't like this softie version of mine?" He raised a brow at his son who nodded in response, "I like this version more. So, deal with it." He laughed and Vikram joined in.

The doorbell rang indicating someone's arrival.

The house fell silent, on seeing the visitors.

It was the Mishra couple.

Both the Raheja men stood up to welcome them.

" How can we help?" came the rough voice of Mr. Raheja.

Vikram elbowed him, " I didn't want him the stern you to be back so soon."

Mr. Raheja shaked his head at him and glared at Mr. Mishra.

" We are here for Juhi's sake. Please listen to us."

Vikram's ears perked up at her mention. That smile and those hazel eyes came in front of his eyes.

Vikram nodded and offered them a seat.

Mr. Raheja still kept a straight face.

" I know sorry won't decrease your sufferings. I broke the perfect family, you guys had. I have always felt guilty of that. But when Mrs. Raheja extended the proposal, she was unaware of my involvement. Now you are aware, no matter what I do, I can't give happiness to my daughter. She has changed a lot in these 6 months. She rarely smiles, has become a workaholic. She even joined a different company claiming she doesn't want anything to do with us. I fear for her, she doesn't stay with us anymore. I...we want happiness for her." He said wistfully and then looked at Mr. Raheja, " You can kill me if you want, but please help my Juhi. Only Vikram can do that. She was an innocent. I..." tears dropped from his eyes.
