"Yeah Harry, I'll be working late at the office tonight. Don't bother coming over okay?" Hermione moved the phone to her left hand to shut down some apps on her computer.
"Of course we can meet tomorrow." She shut her computer and put it in the computer bag using her wand.
"Bye Harry. Yeah. Bye." She turned off the phone, and stood. Making sure no one could see her leaving her office, she walked to the apparition pad, and apparaited to her house.

Of course she didn't like lying to Harry, Hermione told herself. She just had to. That was it. She set about making some sandwiches and tea. By the time everything was finished, one of her house elves cracked in front of her. She was still heavily against house elves, but after seeing the many thrown out of houses for doing a 'bad' job, she knew she had to intervene. She had invited as many thrown out house elves as she could refuge in her house. But then they started to do jobs for her. She was extremely alarmed and told them to stop right now, but they wouldn't. They said they enjoyed helping someone that cared for them. So she let them do minor tasks around the house. But when they were on break, she helped them learn how to read and write, talk properly, and learn easy math. They loved her even more for it.

"Hello Miss Granger." Minnie, her first ever house elf said in her dainty voice.
"Oh, hi Minnie." She gave the house elf a big smile. Which she happily returned.
"Your visitor is outside, would you like me to let her inside?"
"Yes thank you Minnie. Have you had lunch?" Hermione knew if she didn't ask this question enough, the elves would be too busy doing any little bit of cleaning they could, they would skip meals. But luckily Minnie just nodded and cracked out the house.

Hermione placed the pre made sandwiches on the neatly set table, and sat down in one of her chairs. The door to the lounge room opened, and Hermione beamed.
"Hi darling," her visitor purred.
"Hey Pans."

She and Pansy had been meeting in secret for a long time now. Ever since the war, Hermione hadn't been able to forget the dark haired beauty that had stalked in and out of her dreams. She had located her a month after the war of feeling confused and sad, and they had been meeting ever since. Pansy was the person that made her head clear, and she could talk to her. About things that no one else could understand. She didn't know what she'd do without her friend. Lover? Friend.

"You know," Pansy said, in that mischievous voice that made her heart flutter just a tiny bit. "They are both single." Hermione caught onto her plan.
"But, I really don't think Harry wants any more relationships. You know what happened with Ginny." When Pansy looked mildly confused, Hermione explained,
"They broke up, she cheated with Dean or something. I can't believe she would do that. Harry was away on an Aura thing for three days, the next thing you know, she's pregnant. Harry knew it wasn't his because they had never, you know, because he didn't feel ready." Pansy rolled her eyes in understanding. {winter here, this look is something only my queen can pull of. It's hard to look understanding while rolling your eyes.}
"Ron took her side, you know, said that Harry needed to be looking after her more. So stupid." She shook her head. "That was when I knew. About us. That night we had the biggest fight." Pansy gave her a sympathetic look. Then jokingly stated,
"Weasleys, you can't trust 'em darling." Hermione gave her a sad smile. Pansy, being the good friend she was, started talking to take Hermione's mind off things.

"I'm glad Draco and Astoria's break up was much easier. They both just knew it wasn't right. No one knew, but it was an arranged marriage, so they just talked about it." There was some more nodding exchanged, then Pansy continued. Both their parents were either dead or in Azkaban, so they just said their goodbyes.
Then Dray came out, don't know how that happened though. He's sad now though. He gets flashbacks. PTSD they called it. He won't see anyone for it though. He needs someone. Not just me and Blaise. And since we are moving to Canada soon, we won't be able to take care of him." Pansy and Blaise's decision to go to Canada was an easy one for them. Yes, they would miss Draco, and yes, Pansy would miss Hermione, but what else was there to miss? They needed to start over. Hermione's grin slid across her face, but she quickly stifled it.
"That's perfect! I mean, that's awful, but Harry's getting some flashbacks too, and he has nightmares every night." The same grin that had spread across Hermione's face was now on Pansy's.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Certainly darling. Those lucky boys just got themselves two professional matchmakers."
So they plotted.
