Mudblood

Chapter One

Here's what you need to know before we get started with this story:

Kaitlyn Greenwood was born into a family of highly intelligent muggles. Her mum, Amy was a dentist, her dad, Andrew, a doctor. She also had a younger brother Charlie, not that you'd know as he always stayed in his room. Her childhood was as normal as any, playing outside on her bike until the street lights came on and she knew it was time to get home for dinner. She was always above the other children in her classes, very intelligent for her age. There was always something special about her but nobody quite knew how to describe it.

She was 11 when she got her letter from Hogwarts, telling her everything she needed to know about who she really was, a witch. It was quite the shock to her and her family, as you can imagine. She started on the 1st September, only a month after her birthday. She was a summer baby so was always the youngest in her year.

She got sorted into Slytherin- a muggle born?! Yes, I know, but you can't argue with the hat. She didn't understand the houses or what each one stood for, but she liked the colour green so she thought that was why she was put there. There were three boys in her house who would always pick on her. One much thinner than the other two. He had pale skin, bright blue eyes and hair whiter than Dumbledore's. She found him quite funny looking, in the first year, anyway. They never really spoke, but he'd always push her over and call her names like "mudblood" which isn't a nice term in the wizarding world. Not a nice term at all.

She made her group of friends and loved learning new spells and potions. Again, like in the muggle world, she was always one of the top students in her classes. Second to the top, in fact. After who she grew to knew as Malfoy. He was rude but, damn, was that boy smart. There was an unspoken fight between them every time there were assessments or pieces of homework set, to see who would come out on top.

..Well that's us up to date. Kaitlyn is now starting her 6th year at Hogwarts. Little does she know her story hasn't even started yet.
